When comparing everything, GT easily wins; the animation, pacing, music etc. was much better than Super's imo. In terms of plot alone though, I would say it's close.

I thought Frieza can't sense energy- so Goku swimming there doesn't make any more sense than it usually does. Maybe it's quicker to swim than fly? When flying normally the only resistive force is in the air; which is much less than the resistive forces in water.

The only thing we know about the guy is his tendency to scream 'KAKAROT' and that he hates someone because he cried as a newborn. I think he's had too many appearances as is, to be honest. Maybe have a Saiyan from Universe 6 access the LSSJ form or something but please never bring Broly back.

They still probably wouldn't be able to beat Cell, unless they gain a significant power boost during the second time they're training. I'm basing this response on them not getting any stronger but more proficient in their Grade forms.

I'm pretty sure SS4 wasn't a 10x multiplier; as in 4000x base... I always thought it was 500x Base; making it 1.25x Super saiyan three. The reason for this being Super Saiyan having a 50x multiplier and Great Ape having a 10x multiplier IIRC. That would put Golden Ozaru and SS4 at 500x; I'm assuming ...

I don't think they'd be able to do it in their Base Forms; heck, even Base Goku was weaker than Frieza until BoG. With Super Saiyan, they'd probably beat him with ease though.
