Re: Official On-Going Dragon Ball Super Movie #2 Thread: "Super Hero"
Just got back from seeing the sub version. It was amazing after all these years to be able to finally watch Dragon Ball in it's native language for the first time on the big screen. Hearing Nowaza's voice in the theater was unreal. Really enjoyed the movie and how it wasn't just the "Goku and Vegeta ...

Re: Orange bricks: any reason to buy them these days?
Especially since Funimation screwed the pooch on the Ultimate Uncut episodes getting a decent release twice.
Man I'm still salty over the Ultimate Uncuts. So much money wasted. That and the "Lost Episodes" bullshit with GT they pulled made me never really look at them with much respect after ...

Re: Lost Edited English Dubbed Scenes
Thank you for your help, much appreciated. I almost all the Dragon Ball tapes before Z for years and I have only one that is edited; “Red Ribbon Army - White’s Last Stand”. The edited tapes you mentioned about the Fortuneteller Baba saga ones being edited, I found them on eBay a few months ago ...

Re: Lost Edited English Dubbed Scenes
I have tried eBay multiple times and they either don't have the early Dragon Ball Tapes, only DBZ Tapes and if they do have them & it's a few hundred dollars, or have been outbid.
There were key scenes I'm looking for; Fortuneteller Baba Saga (the scene where Master Roshi hands Krillin a can of ...

Wonder what this will mean for their own streaming service? Getting rid of it? Combining? My only concern is losing my free digital copies that are locked to Funi's service.

Re: Episode #0483 (26 July 2020)
Weird, just never heard that term anywhere online or in person in my experience.
It's handy to have a term that refers specifically to those comic periodicals and can't be confused with anything else.
I mean besides the aforementioned floppy disk, which I know those were referred to as, thus ...

Yes. "Goku's Fire Brigade" is a fun PSA and teaches children about fire safety.

Re: Episode #0483 (26 July 2020)
Great podcast and topics, but something has been bugging me. I've been reading comics for most of my life and I don't think I've ever heard them referred to as "floppies." Not sure if this is some kind of East Coast term I could be unfamiliar with? Whenever I hear the word "floppies", my mind goes ...

Single volumes, first print run. Or the single comic issues, but they only go up to where Goku and Daimao's first encounter and Goku flying off after beating Freeza (for the "Z" portion).

So much for the 30th anniversary version being a "once in a lifetime opportunity" buy lol. Oh Funi, after all these years you still haven't change.

Re: Episodes you've seen the most
The episodes I've seen the most would have to be the the 3 episodes from the Dragon Ball Z: Departure vhs, which contains (Ocean numbering) episodes 26-29. Basically from where Vegeta returns after getting hit by the Spirit Bomb to where Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin are captured by the invisible ship ...

Here, educate yourself:
Thanks maybe do that first next time instead of just getting pissy.
Pissy? Because I said "educate yourself"? Pissiness wasn't the intention, it was a legitimate statement. Anyway, maybe do your research before making sweeping statements next time. There, that ...

This new release IS proper 4:3. Everything past episode 1 so far has as much picture as the Dragon Boxes. It's the DNR and saturation that is the issue.
Sorry did we watch the same trailers?

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Guess it's time to just start collecting the single dvds as at least those are proper 4:3. Luckily they are pretty cheap nowadays.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Where can I get the complete set of dragon boxes for 600-800? From what I've seen on ebay and amazon that's the price for a single box set not the whole series.
I mean they are going for around that price when I check around the end of last year. Although now since the announcement, and ...

Re: When did you start liking Vegeta?
Back when it first aired on Toonami. Watching the original 53 episodes, I felt he was the most developed character. Also the fact that he wasn't in any of the movies (which was just 3 at the time)made him more unique to me. Once "Season 3" began I still enjoyed him, but after killing Jhesse he ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
How much can the Dragon Box sets be had for these days? I would be $600 for them
Depends on how long and patience you want to be. If you want it all right now then yeah you'll probably looking around $600-$800 for the whole set. If you're now in a hurry then you can wait for good deals to ...
