Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I think it would be actually worse if they omitted the SSJG absorption stuff. The cat's already out of the bag. If they don't say anything then it's going to confuse people who will be wondering about canon and about whether the writers changed their minds or just assumed it happened after the fight ...

Re: Was SSJ Goku really 150 million on Namek?
It was after Goku became a SSJ.Dragon15 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 2:01 pm Before going 100%, Freeza Said he was at 70? When did he go from 50% to 70%?
Also. When he stopped the kamehameha with one hand, he said he almost died.
Freeza just complains that it hurt, but Goku says it did nothing at all.

Dragon Ball tends to be weird with how fatigue affects your PL. When Goku and Piccolo fought Goku was crippled but still managed to win both times. Similar thing happened with Gohan. SPC should be tired from regenerating his whole body but somehow isn’t. Etc

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Moro has to damage fusions for Spirit Fission to work. Also, no Blue fusion was stated to be as strong as Beerus.
And fusion could also damage Moro back. Piccolo didn’t really think it through when he said that.
Right, it wasn’t. SSJB Fusion was stated to be even stronger then Beerus.
Ch. 23 ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Beast has the largest from base power gain shown yet. Gohans base form is not on the level of Piccolo, Goku, Broly, or Vegetas base forms. He's far below their base forms. But when he goes Beast he has the edge in raw power against them in their best forms. Beast is an insane transformation, but I ...

How much stronger is Android 20 compared to Namek Freeza?
I am tired of people claiming that Freeza could beat Android 20 simply because the Androids were defeated by Super Saiyajin level characters. That argument ignores the massive power escalation that happens after Namek. Vegeta clearly scales ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
There were only two possibilities:
A) you contribute your regular life force, what keeps you alive, and every living being has the same amount to offer, no matter how strong they are.
B) your contribution depends on how strong you are.
Up until that point, we could believe either of those but ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Tbf I wouldn't call that leaving Beerus behind since the story also makes it clear SSJB fusion is too strong to even count. Vegetto and Gogeta are pretty much cheat codes.
That's true but that also makes me question, how big do you think the gap between the Ultra forms and a Blue Fusion is ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
I dunno about anyone else, but I'm kinda comfortable saying the new material is wrong and leaving it at that. The original manga still exists (mostly) unaltered, and I can still interpret it just on its own merits. Toriyama never left me any reason to think that Goku got stronger at any point ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I did not mention Goku specifically. For the Manga it's just Shin saying that Vegito might be even stronger than Beerus. The statement gets repeated in that V-Jump interview thingy too. It does display the intent of those in charge at the time imo.
They probably got the memo by the time the Anime ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
There people who think Goku was just lying and that he could beat Super Buu. I've seen the comments and its brain rot for sure.
Nowadays the most common interpretation is that Goku just got retconned/plot boosted into being stronger than Gohan after leaving Super Boo's body somehow. Sounds like ...

Re: Vegeto vs Gogeta in the manga
Taking only the manga into account I’d agree. The circumstancial evidence points out to Vegetto being far superior.
But taking into account other material, I think they’re equals or Vegetto is only a bit stronger. Whenever they come up they’re basically treated as the same character with different ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
Do you guys think that even considering the huge power gap between SSJ3 Goku and Super Gotenks 3, he could defeat the kids with strategy, tactics, and obviously because he was a warrior with much more combat experience?
Only in a sparring or tournament match, and only because Gotenks never ...

If they only do Beerus then I'm calling this a money laundering scheme from the studio. Of all the sagas they're doing the one with the most adaptations? Even RoF would be a better choice for a one off.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
It's been a while since I, or anyone else here I guess, have posted here but now that we know for a fact that the 2015 DBS Anime is done and is being remade into a slightly different version, can we acknowledge and appreciate the fact that UI Goku, Jiren and Broly ARE stronger than Beerus and the ...

Re: When did Piccolo become a “Warrior Type” Namekian
I think it's stated in guidebooks that two Namekians can only fuse if they're the same type, with Piccolo and Kami being an exception since they're the same being. That means Piccolo was always a warrior type, and it makes sense because he's supposed to be stronger than Piccolo.

Re: Controlled vs Berserker.
But was there a regular SS Kale? didn't she just go straight into Broly mode? Tenshinhan can only compare her to Freak Kale.
Perhaps, it's a matter of efficiency. SS2 Kale wields her power better than Berseker Kale and can deal more damage while having less power. I ...

Revisiting this all this time later, I’m genuinely starting to think controlled Kale > berserker Kale, and Tien was most likely comparing controlled Kale to her normal SSJ self.
Despite all the anti feats, Kale’s power is always portrayed as an absolute game changer. Every single time she went ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
Yeah I think the books were way off the mark with Piccolo at 3500. For me the smoking gun is that Gohan’s attacks deal the most visual damage, specially the Masenko: Nappa’s hand is swollen, he’s shaking, and he stutters as he tries to downplay it.
