Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I actually didn't remember about it, but ya know we can always pick up that ol' sweet Two Base theory to fix that lol
I think the two base theory should be more widely accepted. It explains pretty much every issue we have with Super:
- The Base power inconsistencies
- How Goku Black's power ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
I have no doubt Vegeta would transform if he felt the need to, be it against 18/Piccolo or be it against Goku and Gohan. Even Gohan transformed the moment it was convenient to him.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Let's say we swap the power gap between Z and DBS Broly.
If we compare the power gap between DBS Broly and Goku and Vegeta to the one between Z Broly and Goku and Vegeta, which Broly has the bigger advantage in terms of portrayal?
If DBS Broly had the same kind of gap that Z Broly had, how strong ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
It was the Dragon Books who said that, which I believe are little booklets that accompany a certain DVD release (Dragon Boxes? I'm not into the physical media side of things).
In this specific entry it's pretty obvious whoever wrote that is just making stuff up. Here's the bit:

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
He defeated Ultimate Gohan via skill, not SS2 Gohan and Gohan had been training in the Timechamber and by himself as he said in the Black Saga and the Pre-ToP tournament. Piccolo was simply stronger than Gohan until he got Ultimate back, then he won via outwitting him.
That is true.
As much as ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
What multiplier do you all use for Sign -> MUI?
In both anime and manga, Sign seems to somewhat keep up with Jiren, although he may have been holding back a ton. It's at least portrayed as superior to SSBE.
However in the Moro arc, Sign seems to be relegated to be SSBE's counterpart as both ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
To be fair, that was a rusty SSJ2 Gohan - Even at the most minimalistic, I wouldn’t be surprised if DBS SSJs were stronger than the weakest SSJ2 of DBZ. That’s a less than 2x difference.
On the other hand, it’s implied Piccolo defeated Gohan via skill, so he’s not necessarily stronger.

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Piccolo is definitely stronger than Goten and Trunks in DBS, right? That bumps him quite a bit from his Z placement, from Semi Cell to Perfect Cell level I’d say.
His fight with Frost is grossly overestimated (Frost is worn out and Piccolo hangs by via skill no jutsu), but his power is more ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
By the time of the start of Super while Gohan still had Ultimate he had not been training so his power would have been lower anyways, while Goku and Vegeta never stopped training. From Buu Saga to Daima is 6 months later and the same applies, Gohan had not been training while those two were ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Even from Boo to the start of Super is already a big difference, with SSJ3 Goku (and maybe even SSJ2 Vegeta) being stronger than Ultimate Gohan. And Daima shows us that power difference is a pretty big deal.
I think it would be weird if Goku and Vegeta got some 10x stronger before Super but hadn’t ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Who is the strongest Z character DBS Piccolo (pre SH) can defeat? Manga and anime.
Before the ToP he definitely capped out beneath Ultimate Gohan, but after training 2 months and being stated by Goku to be "unrecognizable" he could beat everyone in Z. Not that he has any real feats though, so ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
I think it would be actually worse if they omitted the SSJG absorption stuff. The cat's already out of the bag. If they don't say anything then it's going to confuse people who will be wondering about canon and about whether the writers changed their minds or just assumed it happened after the fight ...

It was after Goku became a SSJ.Dragon15 wrote: Tue Mar 10, 2026 2:01 pm Before going 100%, Freeza Said he was at 70? When did he go from 50% to 70%?
Also. When he stopped the kamehameha with one hand, he said he almost died.
Freeza just complains that it hurt, but Goku says it did nothing at all.

Re: Was SSJ Goku really 150 million on Namek?
Dragon Ball tends to be weird with how fatigue affects your PL. When Goku and Piccolo fought Goku was crippled but still managed to win both times. Similar thing happened with Gohan. SPC should be tired from regenerating his whole body but somehow isn’t. Etc
I agree completely that goku was not ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Moro has to damage fusions for Spirit Fission to work. Also, no Blue fusion was stated to be as strong as Beerus.
And fusion could also damage Moro back. Piccolo didn’t really think it through when he said that.
Right, it wasn’t. SSJB Fusion was stated to be even stronger then Beerus.
Ch. 23 ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Beast has the largest from base power gain shown yet. Gohans base form is not on the level of Piccolo, Goku, Broly, or Vegetas base forms. He's far below their base forms. But when he goes Beast he has the edge in raw power against them in their best forms. Beast is an insane transformation, but I ...

How much stronger is Android 20 compared to Namek Freeza?
I am tired of people claiming that Freeza could beat Android 20 simply because the Androids were defeated by Super Saiyajin level characters. That argument ignores the massive power escalation that happens after Namek. Vegeta clearly scales ...

Re: Official Unofficial Power Level Discussion Thread
There were only two possibilities:
A) you contribute your regular life force, what keeps you alive, and every living being has the same amount to offer, no matter how strong they are.
B) your contribution depends on how strong you are.
Up until that point, we could believe either of those but ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super Strength Discussion Thread
Tbf I wouldn't call that leaving Beerus behind since the story also makes it clear SSJB fusion is too strong to even count. Vegetto and Gogeta are pretty much cheat codes.
That's true but that also makes me question, how big do you think the gap between the Ultra forms and a Blue Fusion is ...
