Vegeta never said that his attacks had no effect on base Black in the anime. He said something was wrong after Black took no noticeably damaged. Black also could have killed Vegeta because Vegeta wasn't expecting him to suddenly be so strong. Black was at best only as strong as Super Saiyan 3 Goku ...

I am talking about the art which is the fair comparison, you probably like the anime more because it brought things to life and the animation and OST soundtrack which is the only thing the anime had the advantage over the manga. Which makes sense.

The manga version of this arc has been pretty weak sad to say. It's lacking in all kinds of atmosphere and tension that the anime version has and Black whose been the standout character of the series is entirely for him the manga.

Guys, lets all be real here, after I read the latest chapter 20, I come down to conclusion atleast so far that the manga portrayed way better job than the anime! Let's look up what everything that Toyotaru did to deliver some justice in Goku Black arc and see what Toei failed at.
