Re: Toei should promoto Piccolo more as a LGBTQQIP2SAA character

It would be such a big step for the LGBTQQIP2SAA community if Piccolo got put into the spotlight with this aspect highlighted a bit. (a side-adventure on New Namek perhaps?) This could be done just in time for the 2020 olympics Well Nameks are biologically asexual so they don't choose their gender ...

Considering everyone addresses Buu as a male, and Buu uses the male pronouns when speaking in Japanese i think we have our answer.

I was just gonna say this.

Despite his (probable) lack of penis he is always referred to as a male.

Re: Kanzenshuu Members' Favorite Series (2019 Edition)

1. Dragon Ball- The only series I consistently rewatch 2. Dragon Ball Z- Tis fine 3. Dragon Ball Kai- It’s Dragon Ball Z with worse music and half the content removed. It’s hardly its own thing but a “Special Edition” 4. Dragon Ball GT- Some cool ideas I suppose 5. Dragon Ball Super- My god is the a...

Re: DBZ had its own Standards And Practices Lady and other syndication facts

Yeah, every show that ends up on TV has to go through standards and practices. Have you ever seen those notes for Batman The Animated Series of all the feedback they got? I'm sure they always did plan on doing uncut, as they quickly ditched the censorship once they found their groove on Toonami and...

Re: Toei should promoto Piccolo more as a LGBTQQIP2SAA character

Personally, I think it's better to just have a character represent a minority, and play it off as nothing, rather than "Promote" that. In Avengers Endgame, there's the scene towards the beginning that just casually has a gay character played by the movie's co-director. It's not challenged, it's not...

Wasn't it stated that the reason Goku and Vegeta picked Chichi and Bulma was because Saiyan men prefer feisty women?
I think Goku chose Chi Chi because me made a promise built on a misunderstanding.

Re: Is being attracted to a Dragon Ball character considered weird?

Is finding fictional animated characters aesthetically pleasing weird? No.

Is calling a fictional character your waifu unironically and being in love with a fictional character weird and indicative of some developmental issues? Yes.

Re: Did Dragon Ball Get Lucky?-The Good Faith Version.

Kids loved Kai, The ratings on Nicktoons, The CW and Toonami (One night got 2 fricking million and half of that was children.) dont lie. The difference is that Japan didn't need Kai. The Z anime was already faithful to the manga bar filler so when viewers learned Kai was literally Dragon Ball Z-lit...

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?

The way Phoenix compared Vic Mignogna to Kevin Spacey reminds me of how some anime fans have said that Mike McFarland is the Stanley Kubrick of ADR directing. Not sure how this makes sense since McFarland only directs dubs for anime while Kubrick actually made movies. Some anime fans have actually ...

Re: Did the Orange Brick 2007 (partial) redub feel pointless overall?

^would the average Funi fan even notice or care if the dialog had been completely redubbed as long as the cast remained the same from what they remembered? Somehow I don’t think even the most hardcore dub fans would have missed Freeza demanding a countdown or Bulma saying the prospect of death makes...

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?

I just don’t see why one would need to assume that someone else is exclusively watching children’s entertainment to begin with. I mean when someone compares Mignogna to Kevin Spacey as an actor it’s really not hard to conclude that they only watch children’s entertainment. Well, would someone even ...

Re: Did the Orange Brick 2007 (partial) redub feel pointless?

It felt pointless because they barely did anything. What’s the point in Sabat redubbing his season 3 dialog if he’s still gonna default back to sounding like poor man’s Brian Drummond by the Android saga? Also he only redubs Vegeta. His surfer boy Yamcha and bad Scott Mcneil impression as Piccolo we...

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?

Maybe not an argument, but it is a ridiculous comparison to make to claim his stature in the voice acting community was even close to Spacey's stature in the film community. Spacey has not one, but TWO Oscars. What does Vic have in his field that is akin to that? I don't know how anyone makes the c...

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?

I’m dying. We’re really calling Mignogna a legend and comparing him to Kevin Spacey? (As an actor not as a sexual predator) No, not only is his voice acting not that great he’s really not that big outside of anime dubbing. He’s nowhere near the likes of John Dimaggio, Mark Hamill, Billy West, Frank ...
