Did he ever care in the first place? Let's not forget that in original manga run Trunks warned Goku about 19 and 20, not 17 and 18 cause they weren't even in plans at this point. This was fixed later but still, he could've come with some actual explanation ...

This new form is a logical SSJ4, unlike the actual SSJ4, which was more of a humanoid fusion between the great ape and SSJ1 forms. The one in Daima is the next level of SSJ after SSJ3.

That's exactly my opinion on ToP arc, especially in anime. In fact, i would say at least 80% of it could be cut and you wouldn't miss anything. Plenty of people do not remember most of fodder and they do not appear in games etc.

You could easily cut half of Daima out and miss nothing. Why it wasn't edited down to a movie's length and put in theaters is beyond me.

If you believe the theory that Baby Vegeta is Vegeta in Super Saiyan, then Baby Vegeta 1 is SS2 (so 2x stronger) and Baby Vegeta 2 is SS3 (and therefore 4x stronger than that).

Personally instead of Super Saiyan Blue, I would just make Blue Vegeta's Super Saiyan God form. So Goku is Red and Vegeta is Blue, that way they're more distinguished.

I don't think these two could be cut as they are important for story. I mean you could remove them and rewrite story, but anything can be removed that way. UI was pretty much teased for a long time and was kinda ultimate goal for Goku to reach.
