It's definitely a Dragon Ball Online x Xenoverse type of project. I'm kind of excited for this and I haven't been excited about Dragon Ball content for years.

I HOPE it's a Dragon Ball Online remake or something similiar with REAL open world and REAL rpg system with lots and lots of REAL customization options (unlike Kakarot which was a fine game but lacked on many levels).

It started as a fun "what if?" tournament with fun battles and simple yet pretty Dragon Ball art. It went downhill when Salagir started to favor story over battles. The ideas are good but execution is bad.

But I have to say it has more heart in it than modern Dragon Ball.

Tha main story started to get interesting so it's obvious we'll back to reading specials nobody wanted to read.

Are you guys really that surprised? Most of that custom battles are bad fiction or memes created only to troll other players.

Yeah, it got worse. Still pretty and awesome but worse than it was before.

The original version is superior. Seiyuu's were younger with more energy. Also, soundtrack by Kikuchi is just pure awesomeness. The only "bad" part is filler but it kind of gives a nice vibe and extra sauce to the whole series. And the OG cast just sounds better than the "newcomers" of DB franchise.

He's more of a John Connor ripoff.

Personally, I think old Z is dead in the eyes of Toei. It has been replaced by Kai. I seriously doubt Toei will ever re-release old Z in bluray format. It would be a waste of resources if they think Kai is the proper viewing release.
