I'm pretty sure that any animated project's schedule in Japan is down to the higher ups executives and various other old men in suits, the animation studios just do what they can with the time they are given, so I imagine Toei was a victim of the brutal schedule, not the ones to blame for it ...

I don't know if I'd describe it like that :lol: but I hold a similar view to yours: Dragon Ball to me is the original run of the manga and anime from the 80s and 90s, and I'll even throw in the games we got during the PS2 era, as well as the Kanzenban edition of the manga and the Dragon Boxes ...

The most surprising thing is actually that it doesn't get an ANIME COMICS adaptation, when all movies and even GT did (with GT being three times as long).


Maybe I'm wrong, but I always got the impression that those anime comics are a thing of the past and nobody really produces any new ones ...
