Yeah I think Super is done. Both (tv) anime
and manga form.

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
A shame that we have to rely on fans to make games better than the devs do.
I shouldn't have to explain why this is a profoundly ignorant statement.
Modders don't make games, they make mods. Developers work tirelessly to create and program all this shit from scratch. The former can change the ...

Re: Do you think you will always enjoy Dragon Ball?
I think the manga of Dragonball (and I do mean Dragonball and Z) is probably the best way to re-read the series. I love the anime, but it's also very much a product of its time in ways that doesn't really hamper the manga. And the slow pacing to obviously stay behind the manga does hurt its pacing ...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima: Episode 20 - Official Discussion Thread
A few years ago, I watched more than 900 episodes of Detective Conan, and yeah, it's knackering, specially when it's not over yet, not even to this day, 4 years after I watched all of that.
Out of the 900 episodes, I guess hardly 100 episodes were pushing the story forward. Over 800 episodes ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
Using No Man Sky is a poor example because it misunderstands why it caught shit in the first place. The reason why people were unhappy with No Man Sky is because the marketing surrounding the game made promises about what kind of game it was. It was going to be the ultimate space game in which you ...

Re: Dragon Ball Super is Not Modern Anymore
Having projects between 2008 and 2025 doesn't mean anything, though, because the world and the purpose of these projects is constantly changing. Again, Dragon Ball of 1997/1998 isn't the same as Dragon Ball of 1987/1988, either, so a continuous chain of releases doesn't mean much when time passes ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
Look at the game at launch & even now & tell me with a straight face that it doesn't seem like it's unfinished & they left out things that were in the previous games in the Sparking series so they could meet their release date?
I think some fans just can't accept that the long awaited Tenkaichi ...

none of that proves that it was rushed though. That's just a story that you sort of made up.
If we're talking about a game being unfinished then we're talking about a game being unplayable or a game being broken. Sonic 06 is an example of what you're talking about. A game that had barely a year of ...

Re: "Sparking! ZERO" Official Announcement, Pre-, & Post-Release Discussion Thread
I don't get the impression that Sparking Zero was rushed. For this type of game a 4 to 5 year development time seems pretty typical. Odds are they're probably following most modern day AAA examples of releasing a "base game" and then supplementing it with DLC content down the road. That's better ...

Re: What is the lamest thing to come out of modern DBZ?
Yeah, there is a reason Dragon Ball is one of, if not the most beloved anime and manga series of all time, because, the original run, at least is a genuinely timeless, fun and endearing story.
Conversely, as with anything else it's immense popularity inspired a hipster mindset that its cool ...

sigh. This is canon bullshit is and will remain so dumb. So goddamned dumb.
Anyways, finally finished Ep20. And I pretty much stick to my general feelings of the show at large: It was a cute ending to a cute show. A 7.5/10. Because not everything needs to be 10/10s; I enjoyed Daima for what it was ...

I think a Black Freeza fight will happen because people want it to happen. But it's more likely that Feeza and Goku will team up again to fight some stronger opponent. Because people really liked their team up against Jiren, so I imagine that's just going to be a thing.

I mean, I"m in my 30s right now. I"m no longer the 10 year old kid rushing to DBZ fansites or downloading amvs or having power level debates. .
And yet, I'd still argue, and often do, that Dragon Ball and DBZ are among the best that Shonen have to offer, and there is a reason why they are seen as ...

Nobody knows that, man.
I refuse to believe Toriyama and Toyo never talked about how to wrap up Freeza.
It is quite possible that there is no intention of a Black Freeza arc, hence why the series decided to randomly follow it up with a SuperHero adaptation. Its' been like, what, 2 years ...

Re: If Daima becomes non-canon to Super, then what was the point?
They obviously knew making Super Saiyan 4 canon would create problems when Super just uses God forms.
The didn't care about Super while making this, just as they didn't care about GT while making Super. Dragon Ball does not have a "canon", everything counts. Just as GT didn't go anywhere when ...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima: Episode 18 - Official Discussion Thread
But I feel that's missing the point. It's treating storytelling as this strictly quantifiable formula: Put one unit of setup in, get one unit of transformation out. It feels like power scaling for storytelling, a type of Cinema Sins-esque warding off of plot holes. If we can fashion a logical ...

I don't really care about Daima but I am curious to see how they will implement it in Kakarot. Especially since they divided the Daima DLC in 2 parts I believe.
I would have preferred movie or GT DLC. That being said, I have the feeling that after DLC there is still enough juice in Kakarot to ...

Re: Super or Daima
It’ll be no surprise to anyone that I vastly prefer Daima to Super. By virtue of being a much smaller show in both episode size and scope, I let a lot of things in Daima slide that probably would have annoyed me in a long form anime—and that’s super.
