Some of mine are:

Playing UB22 and being confused at the Japanese voice cast (at that time oinly had exposure to FUNI's dubs) and laughing at Ginyu's voice.
And then actually playing the game was boring by myself, but fun with friends.

For me it was probably just around the start of the Freeza saga, I got interested and watched 95% of the time but didn't get really hooked until the Trunks saga, after that I started collecting the tazos, buying the figures, VHS' and so on.

Since I live in Australia, I took full advantage of this.

A year or two ago I bought a copy "Saga of Goku" that has all of Funimation's in-house actors and is uncut, so I own the set that people seem to be talking about, yay for me.
