Oh, don't get me wrong. I like your artwork. If you feel that taking more time to work on backgrounds would detract from the other art, or it's the way you intended it to be, I think it's fine. It just threw me off that the art for the characters is so great, but the backgrounds seem kind of ...

On the subject of song "homages," the famous riff from "Smoke on the Water" appears a couple times in "'Ya' Na Koto Ni Wa Genki-Dama", which I believe is on disc 3 of the DragonBall and DragonBall Z 5-CD OST. I think the first time it appears is about 42 seconds into the song.

That's what I've noticed as well. When Studio Live tries, they can come up with some really nice stuff. Also, if I'm not mistaken, that style resides within certain scenes in Movie 7.

I don't know if it's a matter of the studio "trying"; like kenisu3000 said, it may be another studio filling in ...

That, or use DownloadHelper. Or, if all you want to do is make a 2-frame animated icon, you could just as easily take two screencaps...
