Hmm. I know ya'll are busily debating pronunciations and advertising, but I thought I'd drop a quick note about the manga review, and that is: if the "I'm a cross" shtick by Upa seems a little out of place, take a look at one of Toriyama's more recent short manga shots called "Cowa&qu...

I share Meri's thoughts on the new Linkin Park album; there were a few songs that seemed workable, but even those I felt didn't carry the weight of even the "lesser" tracks of Meteora and Hybrid Theory. On the other hand, I had no idea that some video contests had specifically outlawed &qu...

That's a long way off, but if I actually manage to get there I'll probably either try to write an ending or ask someone to write one for me... either way, I'll try to wrap up the series somehow.

I've been to a couple Anime Expo and Fanime cons out here in California in the past few years; cons are obviously a great way to find merchandise, information and people interested in or relating to your favorite show or shows. At the same time, it's a haven for members from all strata of the social...

You do have permission from Juuhachi-gou, Mirai Bulma and Mirai Marron to do this, right? Speaking for myself, I wouldn't like anyone essentially reprinting my fanfiction without my permission. Sadly, the website of Juuhachi-gou and Mirai Bulma has been inactive for years; I sent Juuhachi an e-mail...

Meanwhile, I still can't get that link for the story to work. I've used both my home computer and my work computer. There isn't another place it's hosted is there? Hmm, I know the website is a free AOl/homestead site and has been flaky for me in the past. The ToT only links to it--I don't know of a...

Let me know if this strikes anyone's fancy...

Redone background from page 2, third panel.

I know my style tends to be very character-centric, but I'll definitely be making more of an effort with the backgrounds now, at least.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I like your artwork. If you feel that taking more time to work on backgrounds would detract from the other art, or it's the way you intended it to be, I think it's fine. It just threw me off that the art for the characters is so great, but the backgrounds seem kind of... gen...

Woah! I wasn't expecting any replies to this post, but I'll try to address some of your questions (though there is also a full explanation on the website). There is an existing "version" of the doujinshi that stopped after 16 pages which can be found here: http://vejiita4eva.homestead.com/...

Um... "It was only by coming to this crazy time and living like an animal that I was able to achieve my full potential!!!" Sadly, on my first go I didn't get even as far as Luffy and Naruto. I'm not trying to be overly critical when I say it looks like minimal effort went into the making o...

On the subject of song "homages," the famous riff from "Smoke on the Water" appears a couple times in "'Ya' Na Koto Ni Wa Genki-Dama", which I believe is on disc 3 of the DragonBall and DragonBall Z 5-CD OST. I think the first time it appears is about 42 seconds into th...

That's what I've noticed as well. When Studio Live tries, they can come up with some really nice stuff. Also, if I'm not mistaken, that style resides within certain scenes in Movie 7. I don't know if it's a matter of the studio "trying"; like kenisu3000 said, it may be another studio fill...

Another instance of this "two-styles in one episode" appears with some of the Studio Live stuff as well. These two caps are from the same episode:

I haven't noticed this from any of the other studios besides this and the aforementioned one.

It seems to me that in most episodes done by K Production/Kino Production/Studio Carpenter/Seigasha there often appears a second style, though (thankfully) usually for not as long as the predominant, "better" style: (*image snip*) I guess it's safe to say they're from the same studio, but...

I recently picked up a long-lost manga project for the fanfic "Walk This World." Check it out if you feel so inclined:
