This I can agree with, as there are definetly some lines in the Japanese version that are pretty silly, one great example of this being when Semi-Perfect Cell calls Trunk's "a young pup with his ass still blue" or something like that. Good stuff...

I love the Funi's DVD5 single dialogue between Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin when Jeice fled.

If I remember correctly it was a lot cooler than the Japanese dialogue.

Also, it's worth noting that the afterlife tournament story arc ran from July to early September 1993, while Chrono Trigger was released in March 1995. I don't know how long it was in development though, or when the names and designs for the characters would have been first worked out.
