Some people say that Cell targeted Trunks because he's a half-blood saiyan just like gohan and he probably feared someone like that seeing he got his ass kicked by Gohan.
But just firing at someone sounds like Cell so I take it.

I think the same happened during goku vs cell.
But in the saiyajin saga, I don't know for sure.

volume 6 of the kanzenban already anounced? It just came out 3 days ago.
The dutch version won't be long after it.

I don't know about the japanese version, but in the Funimation Dub he said "they've inherited my strength" or something like that, so I think they aren't as strong as him but strong enough to put up a fight against vegeta and trunks.
