The only really big problem with the double features is that the JP audio track sounds like crap. A Dragon Box release would have high quality stereo audio.

I usually just post when I have an opinion that isn't too long to express. When posts get long, I tend just to say "forget it, I'm too lazy."

Eventually someone comes up with what I want to say, so it gets out there somehow.

I've always felt that Kaioken is like, 1.5x your strength, while Kaioken x2 is well..2x your strength.

But I think about that now and it just sort of leaves holes in that. Because that means that Kaioken x2 is actually 3x your strength, and Kaioken x10 is 15x your strength and etc etc.

Well, the One Piece movies have been bumped up to about an hour and a half, so I think he meant adding a bunch of scenes to the movies to make 50 minutes turn to about 90, which has to be pretty crazy to do.

Well, I caught the episode live and again a couple minutes ago and I gotta say, this episode was pretty "meh." Then again, I shouldn't be surprised, since following Raditz and Goku's death, there really isn't anything to do but begin to prepare for Vegeta and Nappa.

The filler didn't really bother ...

If you want to talk about plotholes, how about: what happens to the Dragon Radar after Goku lands to fight Raditz? His body disappears and the Dragon Radar is gone too!

There are probably a lot of scenes where King Kai and Gregory are in the same frame, and they can't afford to cut those pieces of animation..or something.

I only had my DB Vol. 17 out for the second half of the episode, but they cut out a few things from the manga, I noticed. They got rid of Roshi, Bulma, and Krillin's comments about Goku and Piccolo teaming up, and Goku and Piccolo's thoughts about Raditz being so powerful.

I liked this episode ...

If someone asks what Dragon Ball Kai is, I could either say:
"Well it's Dragon Ball Z without all the Filler" "What's Filler" "Well, it's Anime-only Material the studio makes so they don't catch up to the Manga" "Oh" "Yeah, it's Dragon Ball Z without that"
VS
"It's a Directors Cut of Dragon Ball Z ...

I don't have my manga on me, so I can't really tell what lines have exactly been cut out, but I think the reason why Toei cut out some of Raditz's lines was because if he said them, they would appear to be redundant, as Goku's history as a Saiyan has already been revealed in the montage. Or maybe ...

Say what you will, I am of the belief that the purple Piccolo blood was a censorship decision, not a continuity decision. If attention to detail was THAT important to them, why is Raditz's tail white as in the picture indicated above?

I don't think that's the case with this one. Luffy's fight ...
