Wow. I went and splurged on the fricking Dragon Box and now I find out I could have gotten the WHOLE SERIES for less than a quarter of what I spent for one of the boxes (Z vol. 1.)

I'm curious...what do you guys think about the Dragon Book? It seems pretty short. Also, it doesn't seem nearly as well done as the Z book (vol. 1, at least).

That site instructs you to use the Japanese buttons. Instead, wherever possible, I click on "display in English." This way all the important parts of the site, like the ordering buttons for instance, work in English. The only problem is searching--most of our keyboards do not have Japanese ...

Two things:

1. The anime is simply too long . And most of it, unfortunately, is not fighting or character development or the good stuff, but just staring, crappy filler (who cares about Bulma during the Goku/Freeza battle?) and stuff like that. I would much prefer a shorter series that added very ...

For me, Dragon Ball is a guilty pleasure. It's good anime, but gratuitous filler content and plot holes get in the way. The manga (which does have plot holes, but less) is much more tight and connected, and tells a better story.

But even if we're just discussing story, the title of greatest anime ...

IF Dragonball was continued in anyway, I would want it to be an alternate story, not a direct continuation...maybe something about the ancient history of Buu, or the more recent history of Freeza. Continuing the series would anger purists, and seeing as Toriyama probably wouldn't be involved, might ...

Looks good, but wasn't the entire point of GT's ending that they had abused the power of the Dragon Balls? Wouldn't it be completely besides the point to create new dragonballs?

Sure, but completely new animators were hired; basics designs were by Toriyama but the show's animation had a very different feel overall. Plus, the storylines...eh. And yes, Toriyama did say that he would have pushed it in the same direction if he had continued it, but still...eh.

In my view Neko Majin Z doesn't take place per se. It's an alternate reality, kind of like the movies.
