Super Saiyan 1, is self-explanatory, going Super Saiyan. If you can make Super Saiyan feel normal then all the emotion you needed to feel in order to transform into Super Saiyan 1 in the first place could now be applied into becoming Super Saiyan 2. In feeling and energy strain, SS2 becomes the new ...

I hate to say it but I prefer the rap song they originally had in the dub. I just have to skip over the opening whenever I'm watching this set.

GT takes an incredible amount of getting used to. I forgot how drastic the change from Z to GT was. Also, strange as this might sound, GT seems really ...

It's not hurting anything and it fits, so I consider it compatible with canon.

How did Goku achieve SSJ2 and 3?

I was wondering about this after watching DBZ "season 5" and "season 6" back to back. Goku initially turned Super Saiyan out of rage and to quote (or at least paraphrase) Goku while he was training Gohan, "in response to a need".

I can understand how and why Vegeta managed to turn SSJ2. He felt ...

Four years ago, a friend and I edited 39 episodes from "Password Is Porunga" to "Goku's Alive" down to five hours, or only 15 episodes worth of material. I showed it to a few people who'd like DBZ if it wasn't so stretched out and they didn't notice I cut anything.

Theories on what made AT turn Piccolo around so fast

I recently managed to collect all of the DB and DBZ manga, after years of steadily collecting, so I've gotten a chance to read the series literally from start to finish.

One thing that I hoped, and got, was a different perspective on the beginning of DBZ, since going straight from Volume 16 to ...

Well, see, that's the thing. Mine *is* the simplest answer. Piccolo is *supposed* to be Daimao 're-incarnated' and thus would have the same Eternal Youth he'd had as Daimao. Your idea, on the other hand, requires a long explanation. :P

Except the thing is, if you look at Piccolo at ...

Now we seem to be talking what could have been better about Dragonball Z...But, if Vegotto cares, he'll take care of it.

Yes and no. In order to explain how Dragonball could work as a series today you have to look back and see what could've been done better.

It's not enough to make the show just ...

Thoughts

A nickname for Dragonball Z was Drag On Ball Z. 291 episodes and only four major arcs.

To make a Dragonball series work there'd have to be shorter arcs. The length of the sagas in the first series or in the Saiyan Saga are good examples.

If Goku is going to be married then Chi Chi should take more ...

If you think about it, Goku wouldnt survive in today's world.

Take it from someone who's old enough to remember 20 years ago: the 80's were just as bad as today.

As far as Bulma, she's a valley girl, not a goth and they still have valley girls in the 00's even if they're not called or don't talk ...

Yeah, there was FAR too much forshadowing, instances being of Kaio forshadowing Freeza's ambitions, Goku giving a forshadowing to Vegeta and how he'll not only become a good guy, but indeed sacrifice his life for them much later on in the Buu arc.

Exactly. When I watched the episodes, in 1998, I ...

The ending to the Vegeta Saga

I've been watching the redub almost every night on Cartoon Network because I've always wanted to see the Saiyan Saga done right and while not perfect, this version of the dub has been pretty good.

My serious problem, and what's motivated me to actually post, is at the end of the saga when Vegeta is ...
