In order to deal with labor shortages and accelerate the production of animations Toei will be using AI tools. Maybe this has to do with the new visual aesthetics they were talking about.

I mean...anime pretty much already have been doing this anyways. Basically, the stuff that aren't straight up "CG" are still being handled by computers in order to lift some of the weight from animators while allowing them to put out this stuff more regularly.
