The creator of Broli
So I was wondering since I have sworn that there was a quote from the creator of Broli. Can anyone provide the interview of him saying that "Broli's power was so intense that we had to come up with another villain for the following movie (being Janemba assumingly), to surpass his strength." I remember that he said something around the lines of this, but can not remember where it came from.
Re: The creator of Broli
Takao Koyama, the main writer of the original 13 Dragon Ball Z films, said this shortly after he watched Battle of Gods for the first time.

http://www.kanzenshuu.com/2013/07/07/ta ... e-of-gods/In handling the scripts for the films, what I always worried about each time was the problem of what to do about the opponent Goku fights against. That’s because, at the very least, they had to be stronger than [the ones from] the previous movie.
After much hard work, I was unable to come up with an opponent stronger than Broli, and fell into a rut where I made him appear three times.

I saw that in the BoG statement, but took it as a paraphrasing re-statement of what he said prior that that years before. I recall he mentioned that they needed to come up with a foe after his trilogy to surpass his strength assuming to be Janemba (who is based off Boo).Doctor. wrote:Takao Koyama, the main writer of the original 13 Dragon Ball Z films, said this shortly after he watched Battle of Gods for the first time.

Do you guys think this would confirm Broli is stronger than Bojack?

Yes, since Bojack's movie is between the releases of the Broli trilogy. Broli in movie 10, we know for sure is stronger than SSJ2 Kid Gohan and even SSJ2 Teen Gohan since in the movie, Gohan said that he trained over the 7 years. This is an alternate timeline though. So it's safe to assume that Broli in movie 10 is above any SSJ2. But I have him nowhere near SSJ3 level.nickzambuto wrote:Do you guys think this would confirm Broli is stronger than Bojack?

I don't believe there is any other such quote. Most likely you're just mis-remembering this quote here.OWmyDragonBallz wrote:I saw that in the BoG statement, but took it as a paraphrasing re-statement of what he said prior that that years before. Well now that we know Freeza can train for 4 months and have a Golden form, the next movie can be Cooler training for 8 months and achieving a Platinum form. Woohoo for a stronger movie villain than Golden Freeza.Doctor. wrote:Takao Koyama, the main writer of the original 13 Dragon Ball Z films, said this shortly after he watched Battle of Gods for the first time.

...that's not how it works. Freeza outright in the film says he made the form gold for Goku to understand what it meant (like SS). Even if there is a transformation beyond the Ultimate Evolution state, it can likely be whatever color they want it to be too, not just increasing on the metal grade scale.Captain Sauza wrote:Well now that we know Freeza can train for 4 months and have a Golden form, the next movie can be Cooler training for 8 months and achieving a Platinum form. Yeah, and Cooler would choose a platinum color. Why? Because in his eyes, that makes him superior to his brother. lol.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Re: The creator of Broli
If Broly is in Super, could he have succeeded in killing Goku in universe 6? would be a strange twist. Considering 6 and 7 are twin universes I doubt Broly even existing since he doesn't in 7th, but then again Earth exists, and it doesn't in 6th. He could have killed himself in 7th, or something. I think a good scenario would be Beerus killing him in U7.

Earth does exist in Universe 6, just the population of the Earth was wiped out in a war a long time ago. The planet still physically exists.Xeztin wrote:If Broly is in Super, could he have succeeded in killing Goku in universe 6? would be a strange twist. My mistake, but either way, the human's still exist in U7, so I see no reason why Broly couldn't have died in U7, (making a reason for why we never saw him) and lives in U6.Darkprince410 wrote:Earth does exist in Universe 6, just the population of the Earth was wiped out in a war a long time ago.
