It was a pretty good game even though they bend the story from time to time (Goku winning all of the tournaments), it was a generally, good game. If you remember those old Streets of Rage or even Ghouls and Ghosts games, you'll understand exactly how this game works. I'm just going to point out that the actual 1on1 fighting system is a bit broken and you'll understand once you vs. Piccolo Daimou.. ugh..

I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

I`m always going to rate this game on originality. Not originality on game design but what should be known as Dragonball originality.
This title wins hands down along with (dare i say it)DBGT transformations.
The latter being a total sham but is err different to say the least.
Which is why i suggest not bothering with the Transformations sequel but a advanced adventure sequel based on the post Daimao saga.

Call me crazy but shouldn't the gap from May 28 to Jan 6 be necroposting just a wee bit?
Cuz you're an ocean, you're an ocean, settle down settle down what's the commotion?

That and his/her avatar is too big. Keep it 80x80 pixels or it'll get deleted. Just a head's up!

You can play as any character you see in the game. Honestly. If you felt up to it, you can play as the flying "camera" enemy..or the henchmen(man?) with a machine gun. It's very fun and you can switch on the fly.
PLAY B3YOND.

I'd been thinking about getting this game for a long time but never got around to it. Now that I've read this thread and seen that it's a good game I think I'll get it. After I get paid I think I'll stop by my local Wal-Mart. They're selling it for $20.

This game looks like any other 16bits plataform game
like tinytoons or some hero-based-game on snes.

It does have a good map, sky stages, some basic battle system that
don't take you out for a totally different gameplay when you are ready so.. I can say it is a good game indeed. But play the japanese version.

Why? So you can stumble around through Japanese texts just to hear a few low-bit audio clips of Masako Nozawa grunting? This isn't Sparking Neo, the North American version is just fine on its own.

True. Either way, they're all good.

I really enjoyed playing this game. While I never unlocked much, it was fun going through levels kicking ass. Took me awhile to figure out the specials, but when I did, it was enjoyable =)

Is the music the same between the Japanese and American versions?

The Japanese version has instrumental versions of several DB themes (Makafushigi Adventure, Romantic Ageru yo, Mezase Tenkaichi and the song that plays when Gokuu attacks the Red Ribbon base), which all have been replaced in US/EU versions.

I never knew that. Either way, I enjoyed playing the american version; the track fit in well even though the "standard" one tends to be used a lot.. :o

What are the locations of all the dragonballs and pictures?
Vegeta: This doesn't concern you! This is between me and your circus clown of a father!
Goku: Circus clown. That's a new one.
