Are Vegeta and Bulma married?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

I think they got married offscreen as what happened with Videl and Gohan. After the Cell Saga of course. So, Doc Briefs didn't hold a shotgun to Vegeta before the Androids showed up or anything.

What good would it do?

At point-blank range, probably a lot. Still think he would be to scared of Vegeta to try to legitimize Trunks.

Kid Goku survived Machine-gun fire at near point-blank range in Dragonball.

Machine guns and shotguns have differen power behind them depending on range. Kid Golu wouldn't have survived a point blank shotgun blast from Gen. Blue had he not been freaked out by the sight of a mouse.

Back on topic,

I dont believe they're married. I think its one of those, we had a kid so we kindve have to stick it out for him deals. I honestly dont think Vegeta was planning to stay on Earth after Namek exploded.

Since he calls Bulma his wife, they seem to consider themselves married. As for whether they're actually legally married, I don't know if that's possible. For one thing, it's hard to imagine Vegeta wanting to have a wedding ceremony. Also, he's an alien who presumably has no documentation of being on Earth, so in the eyes of the law they probably couldn't be married. Unless Bulma went and forged all of the necessary documentation ^_-
"Hey, Vegeta, I went and made records for you as an Earthling....oh, and by the way, the records say we're married." ^_^

That seems THE most logical point over this whole thing.

And the fact that I can picture that little scenario at the end is why

That really sounds true, the "Vegeta gets tricked Saga", "Vegeta, want me to forge you some records?" *Vegeta training* "Yeah, sure, whatever woman." *The next day* "Vegeta, I finished forging them and I put in it that we are married!" "Oh, ok... wait a minute, what?! Damn you, woman!"

Oooooooooooorrrrrrrrrrr! It was kind of like what an immigrant trying to stay in a country might do. Get married to a citizen of that country. Except in this case, Vegeta needed to stay on Earth.

And not to mention the fact that Bulma is quite famous. People would start to wonder who the father is of her children.

Or Bulma could pull a Jodie Foster!  Seriously though I always wondered how that was pulled off. Then again it is one of many questions better suited to the imagination... I like the false documents idea but I'm sure Vegeta would not have been pleased... who knows what kind of false "John Smith" identity she gave him. Kami knows that the tabloids would be the only ones to report the truth ( "Bulma Briefs Married an Alien Invader!"). As for whether they married? I always assumed they where... probably after the Cell saga but before the Buu arc. We just didn't see it... it was probably ad hoc and small with Vegeta reluctantly going along with it.

If he had one, it was never revealed.

I don't see how Saiya-jins would need last names anyway.

... Well, if they ran out of vegetables... :P

So if they were married, his last name would be Briefs I guess, or wouldn't he have a last name because he never had one?

Well, technically, if they were married, it wouldn't, since wives take their husband's surname. =P

... And I don't really understand that last part. ^^;
