Someone please fire Yoshifumi Fukushima or at least not let him write any episodes involving Chi-Chi! It's one thing for a fan to deliberately portray a character in a negative light just cuz they don't like them but for a professional writer to do it is where I draw the line.

The only way it can get worse if he flat-out said he hated her. I knew I was right to worry about Super trying to destroy any trace of her character.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm holding out hope King Ryû gets the writing duties on the next unannounced GoChi episode.

Also, them arguing over Pan is kind of ironic, since at least in Z, it's Gokû she ends up taking after in personality.

Sorry, that last part should really be Goku that can't teleport to Whis' place because it's too far away, rather than because he doesn't know where it is.

(Edit: Ah, LuckyCat beat me to it.)

And to expand on the first part, it says Goku's whole family is happy that Pan's born...until Chi Chi and Satan start to disagree on how to raise her. So Chi Chi drives "Gohan and the others" from the house (no mention there of Goku, so he might already be off Whis-hunting by that point).
That explaines why she is so bitchy.

Gokû running away from home? Yeah, that'll do it. I'd like to hope she'd be worried first and then have that give way to anger.

Hey guys, I've summed up my thoughts on the Battle of Gods arc of Super here.

I've been enjoying the series so far, despite the hiccups and the disaster that is episode 5.

If they start the Ressurection F arc of Dragonball Super, I'd like to see something similar as the opening scene of the movie where we see Frieza in hell hanging from his cocoon surrounded by fairies and plush animal toys, but also have other villains hang in cocoons so they would get a cameo as well. It would be hillarious to see the likes of Cell, Zarbon, Dodoria, Tao Pai Pai (If he was deemed too evil to be revived with the Dragonballs near the end of the Buu arc), Babidi, The ginyu force, King Cold, Nappa and Raditz making a cameo in such a way.

I always thought Frieza looked a bit lonely with him being the only one hanging from that tree.

So, I guess episode 16 is the final episode of the Beerus/Battle of Gods arc, and next episode is the beginning of the Golden Freeza/Resurrection "F" arc? Since we have a time-skip next episode.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Maybe. There is no official word on the matter right now, other than the fact that the title cards were the same for 1-14 and then changed from 15-current (for the time being). So, I guess it depends on how you feel like splitting it until we get an official say from a Toei website or something.

I feel like 1-15 is Beerus Arc and 16- Golden Freeza Arc.

It if means anything, Japanese wikipedia actually lists episode 15 as the beginning of the RoF story. I don't see them citing anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if the official release makes the same distinction.

I think 15 fits better within the BOG arc due to it featuring Satan's interpretation of what happened during it.

Do you guys think we'll get post Resurrection "F" slice of life or do you think they'll jump straight into the Universe 6 stuff? I'll be honest I really like these slice of life episodes very interesting to see how everyone is on a day to day basis when no major threats are about.

We'll probably get 1 or 2 episodes before Goku&Vegeta get back to their training.

Bluma only gets pregnant with her sometime during the year Resurrection "F" should take place on the timeline (AGE 779). So unless there is another timeskip (to AGE 780) after Golden Freeza to get us into the Champa/Universe 6/Super Dragon Balls material, she may not show up at all.

What if they forget about her and about Bulma statement in EoZ?

I doubt Bra will be forgotten, but like I said, there is a very real possibility that Super's story may not continue to a point where she needs to be around. If it does though, will anyone really care if they ignore Bluma's statement about not having seen Goku for half a decade? I mean, they already contradicted the ending by not having it be 10 years of peace.

I don't care about them retconning Bulma's statement, but I really do want them to get past where Bra is born.

I want to see VegeBul taking care of her.

The "ten years of peace" thing still works as far as I'm concerned. Future story arcs could easily change this, of course, but I think we're still good.

The events of the JUMP special lasted maybe... a couple hours? In-Universe?

The events of "Battle Of Gods" were wrapped up within a single afternoon. Same with "Resurrection F" (of course, as I said, Super could change this).

So that adds up to, like, one day of danger, total? That's a pretty good track record for ten years. I'm not going to go out of my way to defend some of Super's inconsistencies, but that's something that I truly don't think they've ruined yet.
