The fact that the Dragon Ball Universe is so different from how the real-life universe is just makes it all the more special and unique to me.

Its hardly 'small', if there were stories released every day that each featured a visit to 100 new planets, they wouldn't run out of planets for over 40 million years.

Then that's a flaw by whoever stated it in the manga, or they said it the wrong way. BOG King Kai said beerus destroys a CLUSTER o galaxies if you look at him funny,and super shown 5 galaxies at once in episode 17. IDK if those pictures are clusters of galaxies,they look just like a galaxy,but I do know Z has more then 4 galaxies in universe 7.

The galaxy cluster line was only said in the funimation dub of Battle of The Gods as far as I can remember.



Also I wouldn't take the galaxies shown in the background of super too seriously as those could either be one of the four main galaxies, or they're just backdrops as to not make space look like an empty void on the animators part.


Also it wouldn't jive well with the story at all if there were more than 4, if the kai watch over 4 and only 4 then what would the use of uninhabited galaxies run by no one?

You can't just pick and choose evidence, or refute a line because it was an funimation dub (which should be a compliment more then anything given their one of the best) Besides given Beerus cancelled out an attack that would had destroyed the universe is a cluster of galaxies really such a bad line given we don't know when that happened, could had been 900yrs ago for all we know.

Super has been very consistent about the universe supporting galaxies, we have seen several shots of galaxies, not just from Goku trying to find vegeta nearly any backdrop of Beerus in space, it might be a recton but there is evidence to show that the universe in DBZ isn't as empty as originally believed it to be.

Even so the universe is hardly 'smaller' we know that by Beerus or the ongoing destruction by kid buu that galaxies have been lost, but the universe in DB is still modelled on our own in several respects (beerus wiping out dinosaurs and earth having the continents that we have) so DBS universe is similar in size to our own just less, but how much less.

If a line is created for the Funimation dub, and isn't in the original dialogue, then there's no reason to take it as fact. Even though they've been far better at it in recent years, Funimation still adds or alters dialogue from the original, so if it's something that doesn't match up with the original, then the dub's dialogue shouldn't be considered over the original's.
