The announcer guy pissed me off the most, but that one bitch said it close to right, except for the Budokai part.

Budokai is pronounced Boo-DOH(like Homer from simpsons)-Kai(Like King Kai) and Tenkaichi is pronounced Ten(like the number 10)-KA-I(long EE sound)-chi(like chi-chi)

So saying it Ten-KAI(like King Kai... I used TenkEYEchi before ><)-chi is in fact wrong, it's not TOO bad for an american know-nothing. But the announcer said it completely wrong, and both of them said Budokai wrong... in fact I'm probably spelling it wrong... but thats another matter

I hope this was err... informative? And I hope I made some sense O_o

Hey!!! Wasn't I the first to this out?!?!?!

Anywho ... The only reason I think Budokai Tenkaichi 2 won was because there weren't many new fighting games released. Street Fighter, Tekken 5, Guilty Gear, and Power Stone were re-releases on hand-helds (except for Alpha which was re-released arcade versions). I also think that Mortal Kombat wasn't as openly received as many would have hoped (from what I've heard, as I haven't actually played a MK game since the Dreamcast version. And I heard they removed individual fatalities).

It would have been Super Dragonball Z vs Budokai Tenkaichi 2. And as much as I love the SDBZ gameplay and customization, I'd go with BT2. Hopefully a sequel is on the way.

To be honest I'm actually not surprised that it won.

I've been hearing a lot of talk about the wii version of the game recently.

People have been saying things like:

"I got the Dragonball Z game, and it's actually good!"

"Surprisingly Dragonball Z on the wii is really awesome."

So, even if their not fans of the series, they're still buyin' it, and that's good enough for me. 8)
There is no better combination in the world than Dragonball, Cherry Pepsi, and Cheez-Its. It's a proven fact.

I really like a game that smacks me with the wiimote/nunchuck cord often.

Just be careful that the cord doesnt snap and the controller goes flying through your brand new HDTV ;)
Your Wiimote will be fine though

Though, when they reviewed the game on an earlier episode, they did like it themselves too. They gave it a 4 out of 5.

*starts craving Sparking Neo* Good thing I bought it yesterday :)

Those announcers really pissed me off but at least it won the award.

With the other Budokai reviews they pretty much lost their credibility. I mean the fact that in the game footage, it was clear they had no idea how to do basic attacks or even move forward. Things that are hardly difficult.

Ugh, that just made me hate Morgan Webb even more. Frickin' asshat.

Nice to see the game win, though, even if it doesn't deserve it.

That show is absolutely retarded. After watching them give NEO! the award i just want to hit both of them in the face.
Keep in mind that those awards were based on user-polls, not the X-Play staff.

Also, they've also been known to openly hate on DBZ on the show...
Somehow i knew this only by watching the clip. You can just hear the hate for DBZ behind sentences like "On any other console this NEVER would have happen" (The Wii is awesome and i agree that it's controls are superior to normal consoles like GC and PS2 but that doesn't mean it's impossible for another console to have a good DBZ fighter) and "This moment may never happen again" and how they mock DBZ with cheesy lines like "Anime shows and fighting goes together like Dragons and Balls". I bet they were pissed when they saw NEO! won the user polls.

Still, congratulations to Sparking NEO! for winning an award from that moronic show. I wish the Wii version would come to Europe already.

I think when they said that it wouldn't happen on another console, they meant that Sparking NEO on the PS2 wouldn't have won(Back in 04' Budokai 3 was a candidate, and even got a 4/5 in a review. I remember because I nearly crapped myself  )And I agree, the Wii's Wiimote(I hate puns) and nunchuck controls easily make the Wii version much better.

On a side note, shannarafan, that is one of the funniest avatars I've ever seen. :D

Just a peeve of mine:

1. Nunchuks is not a word
2. The Wii controller hardly resembles nunchaku. More like a jump rope, really.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

I think the game deserved it. (Out of those choices, anyway) It's really fun and it has a huge replay value.

It's called a "Nunchuk" because, when you attach it to the WiiMote, the combination vaguely resembles nunchaku. (And, apparently, people are taking this to heart and fighting off their evil television sets with them.)
