I was actually thinking of it more in the vein of Ginyu taking his original body back post Tagoma using it to train with Freeza (or he could do it when Tagoma and Sorbet are on Earth briefly, that'd work too), and it being him we get to see fighting again, since I really want a Saiyaman/Ginyu pose-off...but the reverse you've mentioned works pretty well too, actually. Especially since I do want Tagoma to get more of his due one way or the other.
The summary says "Tagoma changes bodies with Ginyu and receives a huge power up", so apparently Tagoma will be the one fighting.

I do wonder if the summary is really trying to say that Ginyu powers up even further by switching bodies with Tagoma, but the way it's worded makes it seem like Tagoma's the one to get even stronger. Which is pretty strange.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense because they specify Ginyu being turned into a frog and surviving, so if Tagoma changes bodies with him he'll end up being in the frog's body.

That's another reason why I'm kind of open to either possibility right now - that we'll be getting a stronger Ginyu fighting in what we know as Tagoma's body, or a stronger Tagoma fighting in what we knew as Ginyu's body (or even the frog, I guess, though that's pretty unlikely, as funny as it'd be). It sounds like it's pretty unclear right now, and it doesn't even seem certain if it's purposely being unclear or if it just is.

Maybe Ginyu changes bodies with one of the heroes and then (maybe by accident) switches with Tagoma? That would give Tagoma a stronger body, right?

On the whole Tagoma-Ginyu thing, we should know for sure within the next couple of weeks. If Freeza hasn't tossed him out of a window by the end of episode 20, then I think it'll be safe to assume... Regardless, I don't think I'll be able to believe it's real until I see an actual episode with these events unfolding before my eyes. :P The concept is just so bizarre; I'm not sure a fan could've come up with this one. Compared to previous episodes of 'Super', this seems so out of place. I mean, of all the ways you could expand this storyline...although, I suppose Tagoma was originally meant to fight Piccolo and Gohan, anyway. Personally, I think I'd prefer it if they had first form Freeza fight Piccolo instead, but that's very much a fan-boy idea.

Maybe it means Tagoma's body getting stronger, when Ginyu takes over?

Maybe Tagoma's got a genetic ability that allows him to add the maximum ki of others and add it to his own?

I thought Ginyu couldn't switch bodies when he's a frog?

The Bulma thing was in Kai, so i guess they can get away with that.

It would be funny if after all the brainstorm this turns out to be fake.

Bulma had to make a device so he could speak though.

Figured Id get some clarification.

Just HOW involved is Toriyama with Super? I hear people say hes behind all the changes and I hear others say its all by Toei's writing staff. Is it one or the other? Or is there a middle ground where hes only working on the Universe 6 stuff?

He is writing the Universe 6 saga and that's all we know at the moment.

He still can switch bodies, if we take the filler. If they want to, the rest is something they can work around in a similar way, just say the receiver in Tagoma's scouter translates his "language", for instance.

We don't know that.

If the rest of the series so far is anything to go on, he is providing the rough story treatment and some character designs, but the episode-to-episode scripting is being handled by writing staff at Toei.

I like to think of it this way: Toriyama has provided the destination, but other people are charged with steering the ship.

Now that's something I can get behind. I don't eat a lot of instant ramen, I tend to cook it up all fancy from scratch, but I've got a feeling that I'll be able to come across some of this stuff at an Asian Supermarket I know. They tend to import quite a lot of product tie-in food and snacks as they know that Asian culture enthusiasts go nuts for them.

He's involved in the story's draft and character designs.

Anything other then that is nothing more then speculation.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

When the series was first announced, it was said that he would provide the original drafts (like he did for the JSAT Special) & character designs for the series. From what he & Yamamuro said though, it sounds like he will do that after the Golden Freeza arc has ended, and the fact that they are using anime-only elements* so far seem to indicate this as well, but this is all speculation.

*We've seen Gregory and Mr. Satan's students & manager, who are anime-only characters, Kuririn is treated like joke with his "Why is it always me?!" phrase like in the anime but not in the manga, and Goku wasn't very disappointed about becoming Super Saiyan God with the help of others, like he doesn't have a problem borrowing the powers of others in the anime. Also, apparently Ginyu is still alive as a frog in the Earth, like in the anime.
James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Good catch. If this helps DB: Super somehow get an animation bump, I'm all for it.
