What's going to happen to the manga? by the time the U6 arc happens in the anime it's only going to be 4 chapters into the u6 ark. So if each chapter is an episode the anime's going to be caught up by chapter 9. Even if it's a few episodes as filler we will still probably catch up by chapter 10

You might be right KentaiSSJ6 but there's no proof of that either. Freeza doesn't grow stronger with a senzu and Vegeta already knows what his weakness is.

Huh. So much for the "big announcement". But considering this the sort of thing Japan has done when it comes to having "big announcements", especially in regards to shonen anime/manga franchises, I'm not to disappointed. At least we know when the Universe 6 arc is gonna kick off.

For all the defenses I make, even I'm kind of underwhelmed by what I've been hearing from Sumitomo lately. And that kind of disappoints me, given I really, really liked his work in Battle of Gods. Everything I've heard in Resurrection 'F' and Super that's new to my ears though is just kinda...there. Not bad. But not good either. And for a series with such a great musical background, that's pretty disappointing to me. Guess it could be worse though...it's still leagues better than what I've heard of his Kai score.

It looks like it's a compilation of all Dragon Ball themes up to Super on an album. At least all OPs and EDs from what I can tell.

With all the new character designs for the Universe 6 arc and the announcement of when the arc will begin to air, I've been considering the possibility that the arc has already been completed, or at least started to be animated.

I appreciate there are likely some key production details I'm missing but I'd started to entertain the idea that the Battle of Gods and Revival of F retellings were being used as "filler" - that is, to launch the series in July but have a background/secondary team animating the Universe 6 arc concurrently, allowing for a higher level of detail in the animation, as this arc is fundamental to the series, being the first real body of original material.

I guess with budgets and manpower etc., this theory doesn't really hold up but I believe this arc was announced almost as soon as the series was, so it has always been planned and it would provide (another) answer as to how the still of Beerus and Champa was used in the promotional trailers back in June.
