I played a brief segment of the Goku vs Vegeta fight, and I'm surprised by how good Vegeta sounds

Oops, my bad. Vegeta in the MAT dub was voiced by Nikola Bulatovic (the same man who voiced Gohan and Kaio) and not by Vladan Savic (Yamcha, Roshi in DBZ, Raditz)

From what i know, no. Too bad they do not dub Kai, could be quite good with their potential! At least for me, i like them in a way!

I have no clue. Maybe. They are not the only ones to cancel the show after the first Season, the Arabic studio did the same for the Arabic dub, after episode 105 it was over for all i know, very strange really. And i think in Russia DBZ was cancelled after episode 105 too, but i do not know for sure, i just heard it from a friend. It is sad yeah, the actors are actually really good in their own way, the voices fit too in their own way, i think no woman on earth could make Vegeta sound like that, she is really not so bad at all, and her acting is quite epic. So i kind of like that Vegeta oh yeah! Well what to do, at least i am glad we have all of 1-105 thanks to ekrolo2! Since i am sure there is no official DVD release in Croatia, i am glad we got perfect TV recordings. If the ratings were poor, then this is really sad because i can not imagine kids not liking this show, or dub the way it is. Oh well. Maybe the adults in Croatia are used to Japanese, or something else, and they did not like the dub, who knows.

ekrolo2 wrote:Given how many fans of the various dubs there are on the forum from all over the world, I decided to do some digging and showcase one particular dub that hasn't been brought to anyone's attention here yet: the Croatian dub!

Unlike many other dubs, this one is actually quite new dating from 2011. However, this wasn't the first time DB appeared on television here. In fact, back when I was a kid during the early 2000s, they aired both DB and Z in the original language with the Kikuchi score kept intact for both with Croatian subtitles. This didn't sit well with people and generally speaking everyone just watched the Ocean & Funimation dubs over at Cartoon Network, causing RTLs more accurate release to flop here. Seriously, who thinks giving a subtitled show for 5-8 year olds is even remotely a good idea?

In 2011 though, the series first 105 episodes spanning the entire Saiyan & Freeza sagas was released with a proper dub cast. You can find their names as well as a video showing the dubbing process right here: https://sites.google.com/site/dbzhrepiz ... syncro-tim

The footage used is from the original Z broadcast with no noticeable cropping or visual alterations near as I can tell with both Cha-La Head-Cha-La (Android Saga version weirdly enough) and the original Kikuchi score used instead of Rock the Dragon & Faulconer. However, the script is more or less a translated version of the Z script.

For anyone interested in checking it out you can do so right here though be warned that there aren't any subtitles but if you're even somewhat familiar with the Z script I think you'll do okay: http://jockantv.com/sinkronizirani-crti ... gla-z.html

To give you an idea of what the voices are like, it seems to be a mishmash between the Ocean and Funimation deliveries with Piccolo, Krillin and Vegeta leaning towards the former while Gohan, Tenshinhan and Yamcha the latter. Goku's is a mix between the two and Freeza resembles a somewhat less posh version of Chris Ayer's Freeza. Not surprising given the fact there is no such thing as a posh Croatian accent lol. Nappa and Raditz have the deepest voices I've ever heard for them and King Kai's.... awful beyond description, you gotta hear it to believe it.

Feel free to check it out if you're curious about a fairly obscure dub and ask any questions you like about how DB was treated her and now and I'll try to answer as best as I can.
I just realized i forgot to thank you man when i first saw that post here, i am a fan of this dub (except for King Kai lol), so thank you for the episodes in that flawless quality! Also, i like collecting dubs, normally i prefer official releases, but when there is none, then of course i take what i can get, so i say thanks very much man! Maybe you can let us know why they did cancel the show after 105, in case you know? Thanks again a hundred times!!

Ratings weren't poor because of the voice acting, but it was because the show was aired in early timeslot in RTL Televizija :( and I'm really surprised that the Russian dub had 105 episodes  I thought there were only 26 episodes dubbed.

Ah okay! Too bad then, they should have managed to pick a better time, this is even more sad really..... And, only 26? No clue, i only saw some scenes from episode 3 once, but my friend was sure they did dub until 105, maybe he is wrong for some reason... If your source is a more reliable one, then he was for sure wrong. But only 26 is totally sad really. I remember Russian Piccolo was not so bad in the scene attacking Raditz and Goku...

The Russian voice cast sounds awesome (specially Vegeta and Nappa) but unfortunately I don't know the names of the voice actors  and about the 26 episodes thing I found it here : http://www.kanzenshuu.com/forum/viewtop ... =7&t=30285

The new serbian dub also ended after ep 105, it was much better than the old one. It's funny, the old one got me into DB and the new one revived my interest and i finally watched everything in 2011 in english and this year in japanese. I grew so much as a fan in 2015.

You're right, my friend :) the new serbian dub used some of the best voice actors on Loudworks studio (Milan Tubic, Marko Markovic, Mariana Arandelovic, Andrijana Tasic, etc.) and it was amazing. I'm glad the new serbian dub had 105 episodes because the old one had only 52 episodes due to licensing problems. :(

Yep, all 153 eps of db and 52 of z, right when Zarbon is about to transform and they start from beginning. I remember that being very annoying when i was a kid. I hope they continue z sometime soon, there are a lot of fans in Serbia and Montenegro and they deserve to see the rest of the z. They're not all good with english like me :D

I hope so too :D by the way, Resurrection of F was premiered in Montenegro? I know it was premiered in Serbia but it was the original japanese version with subtitles in Serbian (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lCO-DPv9S4)

Holy shit, it did! Both BoG and RoF, i had no idea, that's awesome, i thought that's something we would never get. Damn, japanese version with subs, that's badass, now i hope a new one will come in 2017 so i can go see it. This just shows how many fans we got here!

Anyway, ah okay thanks, so only 26 after all, too bad. Do you know where i can watch some more Russian DBZ? I would like to check out Vegeta and Nappa, since you say they sound awesome, i would love to check them out! Currently the download links for the episodes aren't longer available but fortunately sangofe uploaded some scenes of the dub, and this is how Vegeta and Nappa sound (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xWfEUFyVos). in my opinion, they have awesome voices but some people complain that Vegeta has a young voice.

Did you Tian (or anyone else reading this) notice that there is no episode 105 on the website?? There should be since they did not stop at 104 right? Also the episode where Frieza goes 100% is missing as well, are there maybe any other sites that contain the episodes somewhere??
