Stupidest action by a character?

Discussion, generally of an in-universe nature, regarding any aspect of the franchise (including movies, spin-offs, etc.) such as: techniques, character relationships, internal back-history, its universe, and more.

What the fuck did Trunks do wrong? If anything he was one of the few sensible characters by that point in the story.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

Stupidest decision is vegeta letting cell become perfect. And in freeza saga vegeta letting freeza transform into his second form,he basically did the same mistake thinking he wont get much stronger just as he did with cell,he thought he wouldnt get much stronger.

Ohter sutpid decision, goku giving cell a senzu i guess, but meh think goku was just sorry for perfect cell as he knew what kind of power gohan had.Still, stupid tho.

And gohan not killing cell when he had the chance, its up there with vegeta letting cell become perfect.

But if you look at it from another angle,if none of those decision would have been made, once buu would have been revived he would have steamrolled the z fighters.

Stupid,yes, but under what perspective?
Stupid from the point of view of the omniscient reader, from the character in question o from the other characters ? ... Because there is a great difference between the contexts.
In the first case the actions that might be considered stupid are really countless, and equitably distributed.
Then, this stupid action is contextualized?.... Otherwise it will draw only up random lists

First, many so-called errors (like and Vegeta let Cell that absorb 18) are related to ego and to character's personality, so you should take them for what they are rather than kick up a fuss.

I consider errors related to the personality all much less serious (better a stupid but coherent action of a brilliant but inconsistent action)
Here is an objective list.

- General Blue try to kill Goku and co with a bomb (failing because of Lunch) when he could easily cut their throats advantage of the fact that they were immobilized.
- Tao Pai Pai try to kill Goku using a grenade.
- King Piccolo let Goku with a healthy arm and try to kill him with a top energy attack would just have to kill him with physical blows.
- Piccolo wasting a lot of energy in attacks that have turned against or have been unnecessary end try to kill him with a top energy attack would just have to kill him with physical blows (like father, like son ...)
- Bulma and Roshi do not ask the dragon to blow up the sayan ships
- Zarbon not control whether Vegeta died (linked to personality)
- Freeza attack Goku at the end (linked to personality)
- Goku not let seal an unconscious Piccolo (linked to personality)
- Goku spare Vegeta (linked to personality)
- Goku spare Freezer (linked to personality)
- Goku not Kill Gero (linked to personality)
- Goku does not defeat Majin Vegeta (linked to personality)
- Goku does not defeat Fat Bu (?)
- Goku does not save Gohan and Goten (inexplicable)
- Vegeta let Cell reaches his perfect form (linked to personality)
- Vegeta attack SPC (linked to personality)
- Vegeta let control by Babidi (linked to personality)
- Vegeta let Majin Buu born (very stupid - he could fight later with Goku)
- Gohan not kill Cell (?)
- Gohan save Vegeta from Cell attack (linked to personality)
- Android 17 fight against Cell (linked to personality)
- Cell push Gohan to get angry (linked to personality)
- SPCell launch a kamehameha against a injured Gohan instead of ending up with physical blows (same error than Piccolo and King Piccolo - same cells)
- Gotenks not use immediately ssj3 (linked to personality)
- Vegeth not kill Bu and let being absorbed (inexplicable - Gohan and co. could have been revived after)
- Goku and Vegeta not retrieve Gohan and Gotenks to fight Bu

That's all-

Piccolo declining an invitation to train with Goku and Vegeta in the Time chamber just days before the tournament.
