Has Lunch appeared in Dragon Ball Super?
I can't remember if she has or not in Super.
Re: So... has Launch appeared yet?
She has not, unfortunately. I hope she will at some point.
On hiatus.

Nope, she has yet to appear in Super.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

Re: So... has Launch appeared yet?
No. But given how comedy driven Super has been, I have a faint hope she'll appear sometime down the line.
Spoiler:
Re: So... has Launch appeared yet?
I think I saw Lunch in an opening or ending sequence, if I'm not overthinking it. But she hasn't appeared in an actual episode so far, her last appearance is in Dragon Ball: Yo! Son Goku and His Friends Return!
Re: So... has Launch appeared yet?
What's the point of her appearing anyway? If she's going to reunite with the cast and then be cast away like the Yamchas and the Tiens, I'd rather not see her again.
It's better for things to stay like they are right now, not that I dislike the character or anything, but this way she won't seem like a bland useless character that is constantly standing in the background like an idiot. She was a somewhat endearing character throughout the whole Dragon Ball (the anime) era and then "left in her prime", that's why she left a good impression and why we're still talking about her in a positive way.

Because she was gone for the majority of the series. I want her back! And that's the thing, it's not really hard to bring her back as a backround character, Yo! special did that.mawilex wrote:What's the point of her appearing anyway? Wasn't she in the 2008 special with Tarble or am I remembering wrong?

If she does appear I hope they actually do something with that Tien x Lunch subplot and use her weird disorder for character development. There's only so many bipolar jokes you can drag out of her.

I'm sorry but your statement there made me do both a spit-take and a double take. Since when? Is there an interview I don't know about...? Or is this a poor attempt at a joke?Smilodon wrote:Tien is gay...So they doesn't need Launch anymore.DBZAOTA482 wrote:If she does appear I hope they actually do something with that Tien x Lunch subplot and use her weird disorder for character development. Also to answer the topic, No but they do have a pretty neat way they can reintroduce her if Krillin is still a cop. He could respond to a call about a commotion or bank robbery to find Blonde Launch being Blonde Launch.

I think everyone's uncle knows Tien likes dick... but that doesn't make the subplot less interesting.Smilodon wrote:Tien is gay...So they doesn't need Launch anymore.DBZAOTA482 wrote:If she does appear I hope they actually do something with that Tien x Lunch subplot and use her weird disorder for character development. Re: So... has Launch appeared yet?
I'm not trying to be fun, Tien is really gay (or maybe neutral), but he doesn't like women, you can see easily. Launch was in love and made a lot of things for him...But he only wanted to be with chiaotzu.voltlunok wrote: I'm sorry but your statement there made me do both a spit-take and a double take. Re: Has Lunch appeared in Dragon Ball Super?
Oh, c'mon. Physical attraction is such a limited focus in the series for BOTH male and female characters that picking and choosing one and assigning a classification to him is a bit ridiculous. Goku clearly wasn't interested in Chi-Chi, but I don't see TOO MUCH in the way of crass "ermergerd goku is the gay!" discussion going around. Then again, I don't go looking for it. So eh.
Toriyama admits he doesn't like to write that kind of stuff, so when he does it's slapstick and childish. Combine that with the standard "my training is everything" mantra for the characters, and I think we have a pretty good, wrapped-up, we're-done-here analysis. Right? I dunno. Maybe there's more to it. Probably is. I'm just not seeing that kind of particularly worthwhile discussion here.

Re: Has Lunch appeared in Dragon Ball Super?
It's also worth mentioning, though I'll note that I'm not against the idea of a gay Tenshinhan, nor do I remember if the scenes I'm thinking of are filler or not, but there are moments of him blushing around Lunch as well. So it's just as likely that he just decided she was too much trouble to have around all the time too. Especially if her thieving antics were still in full force -the guy wanted to stop being an assassin, chances are being a thief wasn't much higher on his priority list as a result.

That would be perfect.voltlunok wrote:Also to answer the topic, No but they do have a pretty neat way they can reintroduce her if Krillin is still a cop. He could respond to a call about a commotion or bank robbery to find Blonde Launch being Blonde Launch.

Goku clearly isn't gay otherwise Gohan or Goten wouldn't exist (unless...). He's just aromantic.VegettoEX wrote:Oh, c'mon. Tien seems only interested in hanging with Chiaotzu.

Re: Has Lunch appeared in Dragon Ball Super?
I honestly think that's because Ten sees Chiaotzu as more of a little brother then a romantic partner and lets be honest, Ten is very much the over-protective big brother. They were both trained under the Crane Hermit and its implied the training was in no way pleasant. I think its just a relationship of dependency. They stick together cause only they really understand what the other went through. I think people read too deep on things and pull some weird conclusions when the obvious answer is right in front of them.DBZAOTA482 wrote:Goku clearly isn't gay otherwise Gohan or Goten wouldn't exist (unless...). She's not needed.
Re: Has Lunch appeared in Dragon Ball Super?
I think she is very needed. I mean if you're saying she's not needed in the sense of "There is no need for her cause she couldn't fight!" then we might as well get rid of everyone not named Goku, Vegeta, Beerus and Whis. Seriously, just never show Krillin and the gang ever again. They aren't needed cause they can't fight! However, if we're talking in terms of a good gag or just ya know...having another good character running around for those amazing slice of life episodes, I think Launch is VERY needed and would spice the cast up a little more.TheDBZmaster100 wrote:She's not needed.
