I agree, though I hope he becomes playable. Him being an unplayable boss was a bummer. I also think that the younger Demigra from Heroes would make an appearance. Speaking of Heroes, I wonder if any of the forms from that game would make it like Super Mira.

It would be pretty weird to have Demigra as a playable character but he doesn't play a villain role in the story mode. Still, it would be cool to have Demigra legitimately as a playable character.
And I agree that he should be kept dead, I want a new villain as well as the return of Mira and Towa.
Oh, maybe he can be one of those secret bosses who just came outta nowhere. Him, Super Hercule, and Villainous Broly can be good fits for that role.

I'd like for Demigra to return if he's not the main villain. I'd be down for that. I want a new person as the lead villain. Story wise I also hope for some real drastic crazy changes, that don't lead to eventual running out of ideas. That's what I got as I went further and further into Xenoverse. The what if's started not being very interesting.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

Doctor. wrote:I've explained before, I'll just paraphrase myself.
Power levels establish tension and drama. People who care about them (well, people who care about them in a narrative) don't care about the big numbers or the fancy explosions. If you have character A who's so much above character B, who's the main character, you're gonna be left wondering how in the hell character B, the character we're supposed to care and root for, is going to escape the situation or overcome the odds. It makes us emotionally invested.
If character B doesn't escape the situation in a believable way that's consistent with previous events, then that emotional investment is gone. It was pointless tension, pointless drama made just to suck in the viewer. It has no critical value whatsoever. The audience is left believing that the author can just create whatever scenarios he wants and what happens to the characters is decided by whatever the author wants to happen, regardless of the events that happened in the story. Which, in fairness, is what happens, but the audience wants to be fooled. The audience wants to know that the world they're following has rules. That the world they're invested in isn't going to bend to external factors that are irrelevant to them.
An author can do whatever he wants with the characters, that's not false. But the author should also have the responsibility to make sure it fits in cohesively with the other events in the narrative he has created.
The story definitely needs a new villain, and probably the inevitable return of Towa and Mira, but I just don't get the harm of his inclusion as a regular character.
Defeating Demigra is likely the reason we have the hologram hero in the trailer. He's is part of the game's history now. I see nothing wrong with him staying dead, but still possibly having an short arc about in the story mode where we revisit his part of the story from the last game like any other part of history. Saying you don't want him included because he should stay dead is like like saying you don't want them to cover the Cell Arc because Cell should stay dead...
Even if he doesn't have a role to play in the story, they could still add him to the roster. The original game had fighters that had nothing to do with the story until DLC was released, and even after that they released DLC fighters that had no story to go along with them. Not including him to be playable in the first game was ridiculous. It's like not having Freeza, Cell and Boo playable in the Budokai titles because they're the main bosses. :/

Parallel Quests, anyone? It'd be awesome to have PQs based on the first game, if not part of the main story; or is that "Outcomes You Wished Were Different" thing the new Parallel Quest system? Anyway, he could still make an appearance in PQs or even alterings of the main story from Xenoverse 1.

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'm just about done with the concept of reboots and making shows that were products of their time and impactful "new and sexy" and in line with modern tastes and sensibilities. Let stuff stay in their era and give today's kids their own shit to watch.
I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.
I'm betting the origin stuff from Heroes with Demigra, Kaioshin of Time, Poutine and Gravy is in Xenoverse 2.
I'd also like Demigra's Final Form to be playable, it's really not that much taller than Broly and when you fight him he functions pretty similarly to a regular character with you being able to grab him and all. I'd imagine he and Magetta would be about the same size.
Putting aside Demigra, what about Mira and Towa? I hope Mira gets a new look, and if not, then Runaway/Super Mira would be nice. Also Darkness Towa would be interesting to see as far as plot advancement and playable characters go.
Technically, it should be possible for any Time Breaker to return, yes? No doubt all of the time travelling in Xenoverse has created plenty of alternative timelines unless I'm neglecting something important in my thoughts.

There technically shouldn't be any extras from Towa, Mira and Demigra by the time the games is done. Parallel Quests are only timeline fragments that are dealt with to prevent them from exploding (AFAIR), and the games always says that the time traveling antics split the Book of Endings and Beginnings, but that the Time Kaioshin would return it to "one" after the arcs conclude.

Supreme Kai of Time is totally a potential villain. If she can basically write in and out whatever she wants, she can be the ultimate Time Breaker. If not, there's always Towa or Mira to break in to the Time Vault and actually start writing in there, instead of Demigra just trying to destroy it with himself.
I'm still very curious about changing the outcomes of certain events in history. The Supreme Kai of Time was going to erase the timeline Trunks had created, but was stopped when she saw that he had noble intentions for changing history.
So I think our options might be "Keep the timeline going like it should" or "Save the ones who are supposed to die from their doom". There might be some in between/other kinds of options, but that's what I'm gonna speculate.
Whis
-- Final Reward : Super Saiyan Blue (If you're a Saiyan of course)
Kaio
-- Final Reward : Kaio-ken/Geni-Dama
Hit
-- Final Reward : Tokitobashi
I wonder how they will handle Hit's time stop in the game (if he will the game of course). Kaio being a mentor and following the same training as Goku like catching Bubbles and hitting Gregory would be cool. Would also like to see Roshi and Bardock as mentors.
