Marron's size and appearance are only half the problem. That could be blamed on Kuririn's short genes or whatever. The main issue is that she still acts like her toddler self from the Majin Boo arc when she should be 9 or 10 years old at present. She should be doing average 10-year-old girl things like going to school, fussing over fashion, starting to like boys, etc... not still barely talking while getting carried around and spoon-fed by her mommy.

Basically, either they've set everything only a year or two after Majin Boo and thus screwed up Pan's age, which is inexcusable because her age was explicitly stated during the manga's epilogue... or they set the BoG arc 5 years post-Boo like the movie and thus have Pan's age right, but have lazily and sloppily screwed up the other kids' ages instead.

I kind of covered that option with the "lazy and sloppy" bit.

You don't set a new story in-between two parts of an existing one and not even bother to keep track of a basic thing like the characters' ages. That's just... inexcusably lame. In the grand scheme of things it's a relatively small issue, but it ends up standing out so much exactly because it's so small and easily avoidable.

If i remember correctly. Toriyama's script for episode 1 had the first episode as 6 months after Buu. So maybe that's the reason why Goten,Trunks, and Marron looks/acts pretty much the same as their Buu Arc self ?

That was a mistake or whatever. Nothing is confirmed, other than "the wish was 6 months after Boo and some time has passed since then".

They've already screwed up Pan's age (what happened to her being FOUR in the tournament 10 years after Buu? She is going to be either 7 or 8 when that tournament comes up now.)

We've yet to be given a clear cut time frame of how long it was between the battle with Buu and where the BoG arc picked up. All it takes is the BoG arc falling into the same time frame as that of the BoG movie, and her age would be just fine.

BoG would need to be 6 years after Buu for Pan's age to connect with End of Z timeline. It's implied to be no more than a few years after Buu, and both Goten/Trunks are toddler sized kids to this day.

Pan turns 5 the same year that the end of Z story takes place, meaning that it just takes her birthday being after early May (when the Budoukai takes place) for her to be 4 years old at the time of the Budoukai, but 5 during that year. Therefore, if Battle of Gods took place during the last few months of Age 778 (Buu Saga taking place in Age 774), and it was a normal 9 month pregnancy, Pan could be born in the second half of Age 779 and still be 4 by the 28th Budoukai, which took place in Age 784, but turn 5 later that year.

They should be which is funny because the timelne split is caused by Cell arriving and not arriving and that was before Trunks even arrived in our Heroes' time ultimately questioning the birth of Trunks of our Trunks in the first place as, when it comes to that, they actually should not even have shared one and the same conceiving and it should also be questionable if Trunks would actually be born in both times. But I am fairly certain when it came to Trunks' birth Toriyama-san did not think about it occuring after the time split.

I think he remembers her, he was rereading the manga before he wrote the BoG script. She will appear soon and i think this new arc would be a perfect time for that because of Future Trunks.

that could be some good stuff. it'd be interesting to see how Future Trunks would react to having an alternate timeline sister.

In theory Future Trunks is taller like Gohan because he is one type of saiyan hybrid.

Goten and Trunks are the other ttpe so they'll sprout at 15. The wnd of the manga they are 17 and 18.

It is headcanon. I was trying to find a reason to make since of the kids not aging.
