See, the thing is, the Brief's family hair color is inconsistent throughout the entire anime adaptation. Bulma's hair has gone from green, to a green-blue combo and now pure blue. If we're REALLY gonna be picky bastards over this, then Path to Power is the only one that gets it right. Hell, even Toriyama flip flopped on her hair color for the manga version.

Of all the things, more worthwhile things, to complain about with Super, I really don't think hair color for an already inconsistent family when it comes to that stuff is worth such heated debate over

If Black is from Future Trunks timeline deep into the future, so does that mean does Black also exist in Goku's and Cell's timeline also? In Cell's timeline, everyone is dead. So I guess Black ends up blowing up the Planet in Cell's timeline. I remember Future Trunk killed Cell, #17 and #18 in Age 788 in his timeline. So that would mean Black shows up probably in Age 789 in Trunks timeline.

I kinda agree, but kinda disagree with your point. Trunks and Future Trunks are supposed to be the same person from different timelines, though, and we'll see them at the same time now. Inconsistency between media (like Bulma's manga hair colour vs anime hair colour), or even between sagas (Bulma's BoG hair colour vs RoF hair colour), can be accepted, but this is a live inconsistency, and that's why it bothers me.

I can see your point but it's not like its the first oddity between the Trunks'. For example, Kid Trunks in the Boo Saga doesn't really train and just play fights with Goten and he's implied to be close to Gohan, Goku and Vegeta in power. Future Trunks grew up with a master in a future where he actively fights on a daily basis and he's vastly inferior for.... no reason. Plus, Super and by extension the films are continuations of Z, where Bulma's hair is distinctively different from her present day one.

I just assume it was Brief because that's what her dad is called. Usually when you call someone Doctor or Mister, you call them by their last name, not their first.

To add to this, something -- I forget if it's a comment in the series or a guidebook tidbit -- doubles down on this by claiming that proper last names like Goku possesses are a bit of an anachronism/oddity in Dragon World.

In either case, it really does seem to be how their world operates, since Toriyama is way less shy about using last names in Dr. Slump. Or he just got tired of inventing them.

It's Videl in the Boo arc who tells Gohan that "these days" having a surname is pretty rare, hence her ability to deduce that Gohan must be related to that "Son Goku" fellow who won the tournament.

Toriyama backs this up in the SEG, explaining that Videl and Mr. Satan have no surname (it not being the custom "where they live"), and that therefore Mr. Satan's real name is simply "Mark" and nothing else.

I know it'll probably never happen but I'd love to see Vegeta in his Buu saga attire for this new arc. The saiyan battle armor is outdated in my opinion.

I hope Goku and Vegeta return to their RoF clothes, they're pretty nice. As for the rest of the cast, changes all around please. Specially Piccolo! New haircut for Bulma, Yamcha and Gohan, this is Dragon Ball after all.

I was thinking that the ROF gi would only be worn when Goku and Vegeta go SSJB and/or if they were going to be a serious fight, but with Goku going SSJB in his normal fighting gi and defeating a villain in the latest episode of Super, it seem as those the outfit were just a gimmick for a brief period of time.

At least Goku gets a change in gear, tho its Black Goku, but still Goku. Hopefully our Goku changes his getup to something new or at least to his RoF gi.
