I'm really digging all the new changes, the new UI is amazing and we even get a glimpse at some CAC stuff, we see a girl in a TP Saiyan armor that has Celipa's kneepads and we see a dude in the background when a Namekian is talking to Nail who is wearing what looks like Vegeta's Cell/BoG armor but brown. I really hope this means we might get to recolor any outfit we want. The location and frequency of the "TP" logo also has me thinking we'll be able to pick a logo or symbol to put on your outfits.
Also with the new transformation system I'm really curious to see what they'll do with Freeza and Cell's various forms.

The devs have said that it would be "very familiar to those who played XV1", meaning they're rehashing a lot of the story from the previous game, and since XV2 is focusing on a new Time Patroller, everything our CaC did in the 1st game is practically pointless and that characters story is over, or at best stalled until they figure out how to push it forward.Kanassa wrote: What do you mean by that?

That seems to be one of the new Time Patrol outfits, like the Selypa one you mentioned. I'm Pretty sure they will have the hair styles change. Wasn't that one of the major complaints in the CAC category... I'm pretty damn sure we will get a ton of new hairstyles... 15 hairstyles just don't cut it..... In my honest opinion they should put in every existing hairstyle from the Dragon Ball series... if they can put every single Dragon Ball costume, why not every hair style.

That is somthing to go on. We have F!Trunks actually comming in to help. Movie Villains comming in the main timeline, we have future Gohan thrown into the mix along with Time Patroller Trunks. We have Time Breaker Janembra seemingly (Since none of the other possesed Villains seem to have that insignia on their foreheads). We have Bardock witnessing God Goku VS Frieza. They've given penty to go on, even if it's just in speculation.They haven't given us anything to go on. We're getting movie villains and some what ifs,
It's already seems to be miles better then the first game story-wise where we only got to see the what if divergnces for thirty seconds at the most.
Progressed? Aside from the Towa loose end (Which Trunks's narration implies will be tied up) the plot finished.but the main Plot of XV1 isn't being progressed in XV2 at all.

The TP from XV1 acting as a mentor is a neat idea, but then the logical fallacy hits with a glaring question; Why is the most powerful hero-guardian of time sitting behind a desk? Because that is what's happening. We already established that Trunks' wish in XV1 effectively created someone that can conceivably counter any threat to the entire universe and all of Time itself. So for the protagonist CaC of XV2 to just be some student to the Time Patrollers makes you feel like some second-string child trying to sit at the grownups table.
Movie villains and what if scenarios aren't new. We got all that in previous games. This doesn't feel like a new game. It feels like patched DLC we were supposed to get for XV1, but they instead decided to hold it back so they could get us for full price again. Also, Trunks implying the story gets tied up is meaningless. We have the Time Breakers to contend with. Not just Mira and Towa, but their entire organization. That, by itself, would be a great story without redoing all of the Z-Sagas All. Over. Again.
I don't mind replaying the Sagas, I really don't. But that shouldn't makeup most of the Story. The Story of Our Character shouldn't be dependent on going through the same events as last time. We need actual Development. An actual struggle between the Patrollers and Breakers. And not some hiccup with the timeline. I want to be excited for the story and not feel like I've already done it ten times over.

In XV, sometimes the villains slipped in an out of the basic Fiendish possession. Coola is shown with the dark purple aura starting to form around him in his true form for a brief second of the cutscenes before it cuts away to the battle scenes of him in his transformed state.Kanassa wrote:That reminds me, in the trailer...

It could be a new character. There was an elderly looking demon guy next to Towa in the recent Heroes trailers that we couldn't get a good look at, but he has a similar marking to Demigra's bling (with a different color jewel). Though it could also just be that Towa and Mira are back and both of them have powered up into Dark Towa and Mira unlocking his Super Saiyan state.

I see it as more of a Hero No Acedamia situation (I hope I wrote down the ttle right), we're working our way up to take the old time patroller's place. And even if it wasn't, I don't see how just fighting beside him is pointless. The concept isn't new, most of the concepts in any modern game aren't new. I think the game looks great. The story looks bigger than the first game seeing that we can allow the timeline to change at any time depending on our actions. It looks like we may have a more open world game as we are able to travel across Namek. The gameplay looks much faster and smoother than the first game. People say the game looks like DLC for the first game, but I don't think that's true. Remember in 2006 when people said that "Budokai Tenkaichi 2 looks like a expansion pack than a real game". When Tenkachi 2/Sparking Neo came out, people end up liking it much more than the first game.

The summoned figure wouldn't just maintain events in the timeline, they'd have to be able to defend the very notion of Time, from beginning to end. Because the new Patroller is essentially just doing them again himself, which takes away from your previous accomplishments as now just any of them could've done the same job just as well. It's the idea that they want it to feel special despite it feeling like we got punished for not having them before. Recall, we got pretty much all of these characters in previous titles. I'm glad we're getting them back, but that shouldn't be a key feature or selling point of the game. I should just be expected for us to have them at this point.

But there is a reason behind their actions. It isn't just to dick with continuity. It's to gather power enough or create enough of a distortion to allow Towa to release the Makai Realm from the seal placed on it, allowing the demons to invade the universe and take control of everything. It isn't about minor skirmishes in Time, it's about their Endgame. Just watched the trailer and the breakdown videos from Rhymestyle, and I'm very, very, very intrigued by what I saw and heard. I love the new characters that have been introduced (I love Janemba), as well the fine tuned mechanics with transformations and how ultimate's are used (Thank God ultimate's now drain ki while you're a SSJ) and I really like addition of new stages for local multiplayer. I'm still not entirely sold on the story mode, but with more details about that I think I'll be very interested in that.
This is shaping up to being a great game.

I meant the CPU. I knew the ki spam from players is gone. But in PQ's, the CPU could spam like a MOFO. You could say that most DBZ games before they come out. Not to mention, we have a bigger story mode and able to travel to different worlds like Namek.
