The music that plays in the German version of when Gohan releases his emotions and ascends to Super Saiyan 2 is beautiful. I don't know what it is but it sounds amazing in my opinion.

Yeah, Wings by Claudio Gizzi was awesome in that scene

Goku didn't die in GT. The show sucked him off so much, it was impossible to keep him in the world of the living, so he ascended beyond mortality.

I'd agree with this too. I've always thought personally that the Ocean group had a greater talent pool overall than Funimation. There are exceptions of course, the present day Sean Schemmel and Chris Ayres are the best English Goku and Freeza's we've had, but Ocean still to this day have the best dub Piccolo, Gohan, Krillin, and Master Roshi, amongst other characters, particularly in the Saban episodes. Actually thinking about it makes it seem unfortunate we may never see the mythical Ocean Kai dub.

I quite enjoy Bio-broly.

I love the dynamic of Goten and Trunks as characters outside of Gotenks in it.

I love Mr Satan, the inclusion of Krillin and 18, the inventive way of defeating it.

I find it easily the most pleasurable of the Broly movies to watch.

This, this, this, this, this. THIS so much. I don't particularly agree with the Goku statement though. Yes, Sean's definitively without a doubt the absolute best English Goku we've ever gotten in terms of acting. The voice itself? I still prefer Ian Corlett and Peter Kelamis's voices. Everything else I agree with 100%

I can't stand Kelamis, and I think Strait edges out his predecessor, but only slightly.

I'm biased towards the FUNi in-house cast as that's the one I'm most familiar with I admit (both the original set of actors, and our modern day Kai-era replacements), but there are a few Ocean voices I recall liking more than their FUNi counterparts...but Krillin would definitely not be one of them. I dunno what it is about it, but I can't stand Klassen's take on the character. The acting is probably fine, but the voice itself has just always been really...grating, to me. I never cared for it back before I realized the character was my favorite, so I can't imagine a re-visit nowadays would endear me to his performance any better, though I am curious to at least see the original three movies in their original dub again eventually.

Who I do prefer greatly from their Ocean dub performances though, are Oolong and Dr. Wheelo. Oolong's Ocean voice (or at least whoever played him in movie 2) is the only one I've ever heard that sounded like a good fit for what Tatsuta does in Japanese, and it was nice to have a dub voice for the character that doesn't have him sounding far older than he would be or like a chain smoker. For Wheelo, much as I love R. Bruce Elliot as an actor and how I can't think of anyone who would do any better from FUNi's casting pool, I just found the original performance from Ocean to be a heck of a lot more menacing.

I greatly prefer many of the voice for minor characters. Hebert's Ox King is unlistenable, whereas Dave Squatch Ward is great. I can't stand the squeaky voice for Puar in the in house dub, but I really like the Ocean dub voice.

The Blue Water dub of GT is hot garbage, but I really like a lot of the voices in their dub of Dragon Ball.

That's a pretty popular opinion. I haven't met anyone who's watched both versions and still prefers Funimation's dub.

I have. I know several who absolutely despise the Ocean version.

Seriously? The Funimation dub can't even pronounce Kaio-Ken right, and their script of Tree of Might is based off the inaccurate Saban TV version. I guess that just shows how stubbon of some of the Funimation dub fans are.

I find him intolerable.

That is definitely an unpopular opinion. May I ask why?

The Viz manga is better then Funis kai dub. And on the subject of manga, am I like the only one who doesn't like full color manga ? Seriously I don't see what's so great about them.

I can't really say I actively dislike them. Then again, on principle, I find the idea as eye-rollingly annoying as colorizing black and white films. But as long as they don't ever supplant non-colored/original-colored versions, then I have no qualms with them existing. Really, I'm just entirely apathetic about them. Even putting aside my principles, there's just really nothing there that interests me or makes me feel compelled to buy the manga again just to have the same thing but in color. Even just aesthetically speaking, I prefer the Dragon Ball manga in black and white anyway.
