Would Cell and Freeza really be friends in Hell?

In theory he could also go SSJG, use Coola's tranformation, go Grate Ape, fuse with Namekians, go SSJ4 etc. Heck, he might even be able to make Cell Jr's who can make Dragonballs like Kami and The Grand Elder. Cells DNA is something I hope gets explored more in the future.

Freeza can't get along with a rock, if he can't be the boss it's not gunna happen. Cell would probably try, but unless he agrees to be the underling I don't think it's work. Even in defeat, Freeza has suggested to Goku/Vegeta to be his underling. His ego is out of this world, I'm surprised he got along with Cold but in the end he chose to keep his father dead.

I like the idea of them being next to each other in cocoons having to suffer the cute fairies and teddy bears together. In that scenario I imagine they would eventually get used to each other and talk about the past.

There are 3 versions of that friendship: Version one is what we saw in the Boo arc and GT; version two is they're hanging around in their little pods together; version three is they're just ghosts floating around together. Either way, they tag each other in all of their Facebook posts. Freeza posting pictures of his knees by a beach, tagging Cell; Cell posting pictures of the two of them making kissy faces. It's cute.
