I think I would have preferred white hair myself if they really had to give Black his own transformation. It seems like it would have went better with his Gi, and would have arguably looked more menacing. It is what it is though. To be fair, it's nowhere near as ridiculous as Golden Freeza.

I do have to wonder though, is having new SSJ transformations that are basically just palette-swapped versions of the original form going to be a continuous thing going forward?

I kind of like the pink hair just because it doesn't seem like something fans would have thought which is why most people seemed surprised by this, but the white just to me would be too obvious a choice though I wouldn't have opposed it either way.

It appears we're going to see more color changes to denote new forms and if that's the case, I guess we're gearing up for that purple-haired one sometime this decade.

I'm curious to know what lead to Black's transformation. I would assume it's God-Ki. I would bet it has something to do with Black's encounter with Goku a few episodes ago because it was mentioned that every time Black fights he gets stronger. If only Goku used his blue haired god form against Black during their first encounter, he would have wiped him out for sure and the Arc would have ended there.

To be honest I would rather have palette swap than some ridiculous design...well...its hard to say because with the many over the top fan designs we had over the years prior to Super everything will seem like fan fiction ideas. I guess playing it better safe than sorry but then again this is just the Super Saiyan transformation with ki applied to it so in-universe it makes the most sense but nothing too different to wetting the pants over.

I think it's kinda stupid that we're getting another super saiyan recolor, but I'm not even mad because the form looks really cool. It looks absolutely badass. The colors work perfectly.

I assume he means how difficult it would be to convey Goku Black's supposed hair color. He managed to make Super Saiyan Blue appear unique, but now he's adding on a third distinct shading in black and white. Just as an aside, English isn't his primary language, so some interpretation based on the phrasing might be necessary.

1. Hahahahhahah Toriyama hasn't changed a bit. Tori-bot? I would call him Tori-troll. I don't know what's funnier, Toriyama doing this or the fanbase's reaction; youtube is ful with people complaining because and i quote: "pink? Agh now Black looks like a f****** gay.

2. I'm not gonna lie, i would have loved to see a ssj white but the design looks cool so we'll just have to wait until we see how will the anime handle it.

3. I hope that this transformation is only Black's exclusive as "ssj pink" is the opposite of a ssj blue.

But you were right, I was talking about the difficulties of a B&W manga to distinct the new hair color from SSJ and SSJB.

It's grown on me as the days gone by eagerly awaiting some official promo art now. Man after the leak of SSGSS back then for "F" no matter how hard Toei try seems like somethings always getting leaked.

Well its the companies leaking it anyways. So they want us to see it.

Maybe, like DC recently did leak stuff purposely about the Rebirth one shot and it worked sales were through the roof (I managed to sell a few issues for scalped prices and made 900% profit . I do feel SSP is more fair game about a "leak" that Toei were wary off, I still think the SSGSS was a legitimate leak though.

Black's Super Saiyan Pink could be because of his inverted ki

If you notice when he powers up he has a black aura instead of a white aura. His energy spheres are darker in the middle instead of lighter. This could be further reflected when he attains "Super Saiyan Blue".

This is what he looks like when the colors are inverted:

Not everything of his will be inverted, or we'd have a neon disaster of a villain, but so far it looks like key elements of Black are him being an inversion of Goku and that may include his hair when he attains his version of "Super Saiyan Blue".

Now... this is just my guess. Inverting the whole image shows Vegeta gaining a more salmon or orange color than bright pink. Super Saiyan Gogeta has purple or violet hair when inverted. If Black turns Super Saiyan 2 and has purple hair, that may reinforce my inversion theory.

I personally like it. but I believe it will be caused by a few things that make it exclusive to black.

1. it will be caused by goku body going ssj while under the possession of zamasu ( or whoever it is )

2. because black uses mortal ki and this is what happens when he converts the god ki his original body has to goku body

Both these are have the same idea but are kinda different, idk guess we will have to wait and see

This is fucking terrible. Pink clashes horribly with his clothes. If they wanted a brighter color, why not purple? It blends better and is more of an anti-blue.

Personally, I would have loved white hair, as in the fanart, or black. Yes, black. He's Goku Black. Why not just have him obtain SSJ hair without a color change (besides maybe red or white eyes to distinguish it from false SSJ)?

I found all this changes in SSJ colours a little bit sacrilegious to the escense of the story. Maybe I'm sounding very exagerated, but this is how I feel. If that pink transformation is true, it's very lame and unoriginal. Although the inverted ki theory sounds cool.

The pink colouring really doesn't mesh well with the black outfit. Would've preferred if his hair was still black, but him being enveloped in a black aura instead. Alternatively his hair could've turned white. I think the reason for the pink hair could possibly tie in with him tapping into SSGod's red ki?
