Yeah, I don't get. Future Trunks probably isn't a character who cares a lot about being strong. But like Vegeta says he needs to get stronger in case a tough enemy shows up. Would not the same thing apply to Gohan? I know he wants to be a family man and enjoys studying. But being adult includes hard decisions.Kishido wrote:This words by Vegeta to Trunks... God damnit... It goes for Gohan as well.
Yeah and before peple say he started training after RoF... Cool... Piccolo again said he is no fighter in this arc

Gohan...just forget about him.Kishido wrote:This words by Vegeta to Trunks... God damnit... It goes for Gohan as well.
At least Vegeta isn't going to let Trunks go down that road so it's better than nothing.

And why havent you guys joined the military became a poloce officier? Are you really contempt with being protected by others? Doesnt Vegeta words apply to you as well?
Everyone has their own fate and they decided that Gohan never really wanted to fight. I would argue that somewhere along the line he wanted to be a protector after the cell fight. Which saw the idea manifest with the great saiyaman. But being a happy father with a nice wife and daughter can be a dream too. I always wanted that for myself and Gohan was always my favorite character, so despite the fact that I would like him to return as a fighter I am happy he achieved this and accept that Trunks eps with him in it as his retirement..for now.

You could honestly say that about a lot of characters in Super.sintzu wrote:Gohan...just forget about him.Kishido wrote:This words by Vegeta to Trunks... God damnit... It goes for Gohan as well.

Which is very unfortunate but at least the prince of all...handful of Saiyans is still relevant.Kagari wrote:You could honestly say that about a lot of characters in Super.

Well I'm in Marine Corps Reserve? Does that count for something? :p I know lots of people who have families or other jobs.Brettjr25 wrote:And why havent you guys joined the military became a poloce officier? Like Goku and Vegeta right? But is everyone in this thread apart of the military? If not my point remains. I wasnt stating that people who fight for others cant have those things just that, that isnt the path for everyone else nor the other ones who complaining hypocritically.Big Black Saiyan wrote:Well I'm in Marine Corps Reserve? Who else? Piccolo, Kid Trunks or Goten. Kid Trunks and Goten are still kids and even at Buu saga they haven't been more than jokes as Gotenks.Kagari wrote:You could honestly say that about a lot of characters in Super.sintzu wrote:Gohan...just forget about him.Kishido wrote:This words by Vegeta to Trunks... Piccoo even AT THE BUU saga was not that important... But even he still got some love in Super
The rest are just have been not important ever since Frieza saga.
So you can't compare them to Gohan... A guy, who even in Super was stated to have the biggest potential

BS. Everyone was useful in Cell saga, and most at least had a role to play in the Buu saga.Kishido wrote:Who else? Piccolo, Kid Trunks or Goten. In terms of plot yes but in the fight not. And even in terms it plot they all have been side characters bar the Saiyans and Piccolo.TekTheNinja wrote:BS. And now look at Buu saga...
Seriously what now is happening to Gohan is similar to them in Z... But the difference is not one of the other Z fighters are even close to Gohan's potential

Yeah, Future Trunks feels like he's taking Gohan's place, at least in this arc.
But on the bright side, if Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks all go to fight Black (and maybe if Kid Trunks stows away), that makes Gohan probably the strongest person on Earth to protect that timeline. Maybe there was a reason as to why they were so adamant he wasn't coming to the future?
...ok, it's a stretch.

I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

Yes. Even if they weren't fighting a lot of the cast was still on-screen in some capacity. You can't really say that about Super since the new content started.TekTheNinja wrote:BS. You're not wrong. I want to see something happen to the present while Goku/Vegeta/Trunks are away.MozillaVulpix wrote:Yeah, Future Trunks feels like he's taking Gohan's place, at least in this arc.

This is exactly the same as the people who had hope that Gohan is doing amazing stuff protecting the earth while everyone else is at the U6 tournamentMozillaVulpix wrote:Yeah, Future Trunks feels like he's taking Gohan's place, at least in this arc.

Re: Forget about Gohan, what remains are only memories
Yeah, I'm not actually getting my hopes up. At the very least, we should be happy this arc gave Gohan an entire episode dedicated to explaining why he's not showing up.
...although it still makes the Toei additions to RF completely contradictory for his character.

Gohan will always be the best to me, even though he's disappointed me greatly.
Disclaimer: I might get into a disagreement with you. Sometimes I might even get feisty about it. I'll never harbor negative feelings because of it though. I hope you feel the same way!Jinzoningen MULE wrote: Maybe I should start making it a point not to comment when I'm not sure of something. Too many people know what they're talking about around here.
I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.
Re: Forget about Gohan, what remains are only memories
He's only been disappointing in Super post Battle of the Gods for me if we want to look at modern DB. I'm happy he still gets top treatment in the video games right behind Goku.kinisking wrote:Gohan will always be the best to me, even though he's disappointed me greatly.
Re: Forget about Gohan, what remains are only memories
I agree. His treatment in BOG wasn't too bad. I think Vegeta and Future trunks will still get more treatment. Maybe even Goten and trunks because it seems they're going to be more relevant from this point on.Kagari wrote:He's only been disappointing in Super post Battle of the Gods for me if we want to look at modern DB. Re: Forget about Gohan, what remains are only memories
And now the hope of Gohan being somehow involved cuz he forgot to ask Trunks is crushed as well.
Re: Forget about Gohan, what remains are only memories
Ideally the present timeline will fall into crisis while Goku and co. are away in the future.Kishido wrote:And now the hope of Gohan being somehow involved cuz he forgot to ask Trunks is crushed as well.

LOL yeah same stuff peolpe have said when everyone went to the U6 tournament while Gohan stayed backKagari wrote:Ideally the present timeline will fall into crisis while Goku and co. are away in the future.Kishido wrote:And now the hope of Gohan being somehow involved cuz he forgot to ask Trunks is crushed as well.
