I'd love to get confirmation on Bulla, but... I don't know if this is the best way to do it. I do like the idea of Future Trunks doing the classic God ritual instead of just pulling a Vegeta, but Goku and Vegeta would have to be away for this scenario to happen, so... how would they be away? They'd have to get stuck in the future, no? I can't really see a way for that to happen.Krillin1994 wrote:A lack of timeskip oddly makes me feel that something will happen to Goku/Vegeta in the future.
Trunks has to come through on his promise.
In an ideal situation Future Trunks needs to become a god after narrowly escaping the future again. He lines up gohan, goten, Trunks and pan to do the ritual. but they need another. Bulma steps forward(Bra).

If the odds looked hopeless against Goku and Vegeta against Black. The Vegeta we've seen in Super would tell his son to flee. The time machine is the most important thing at the moment.Alruneia wrote:I'd love to get confirmation on Bulla, but... I don't know if this is the best way to do it. would also be a good way to shift focus from Goku and Vegeta for a bit. Though we could still have Mai and the resistance do something to distract Black so that they can rescue Goku/Vegeta and nurse them back to health in the future.

with them going after Black already, it makes me wonder how Zamasu will factor into this?
Maybe he just becomes a 2nd Black when this 1st one is defeated? (assuming he is Black and there isn't some twist.)

When Super ends I think it'll end with the 28th Tenkaichi like the manga but it'll have changes that'll make it fit within Super's events.Anime Kitten wrote:I'm still confused about the whole "5 years without seeing Bulma" thing I've heard. Anyone think Super will do it?
For example Bulma won't say they haven't seen him in 5 years and Vegeta would know about Uub.
Hopefully they'll remember to grow up Goten and Trunks.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Yeah, I sure hope they'll fix continuity. With the anime, at least.sintzu wrote:When Super ends I think it'll end with the 28th Tenkaichi like the manga but it'll have changes that'll make it fit within Super's events.

If you would go after the English sound you would be right. If the Japanese intend to for example mimic the German sound, what Alruneia said is very possible (at least flower-wise). Just like Beerus, so Birusu with his name came from the German "Virus", which you would know as "Veerus" instead of the more like "Vairus" sounding English word. (I skipped the "Beer" part now as that came in additionally later).Ajay wrote:Pretty much on the money, I think.Alruneia wrote:It says 超サイヤ人ロゼ in the Episode 56 title. Sūpā Saiya-jin Roze. As far as I've understood it, it's like this: In Japanese you can "ignore" u's (that's how you get Buruma to become Bulma), but you can't ignore e's. If you want to say Rose, you use Rozu (as it's pronounced "ro-s" in English), and if you want to say Rosé, you use Roze (as it's pronounced "ro-say" in English). Someone who actually knows Japanese should be able to explain this much better than me (or correct me), though.
Japanese is phonetic, so you just read what each bit of kana represents.
ロ - Ro
ゼ - Ze
Rose would be ローズ - Rōzu, which as you said, if you subtly drop the u, you end up with the English word.

Just change the events of that tournament and continue Super on from there or a new series.sintzu wrote:When Super ends I think it'll end with the 28th Tenkaichi like the manga but it'll have changes that'll make it fit within Super's events.Anime Kitten wrote:I'm still confused about the whole "5 years without seeing Bulma" thing I've heard. Pretty certain the person that Goku, Vegeta and Future Trunks run into is Future Mai. I'm also quote glad that Beerus and Whis are taking a backseat from the central conflicts of this arc. I just hope that the characters involved in the central conflicts in future arcs expands beyond Goku and Vegeta.Grimlock wrote:Okay, we have our summaries translated.

I'm not really liking the way this is looking (and I like most things Super does, kinda)... It seems that this arc will be the same length as the others. Hopefully SSB vs SSRose isn't the final fight, extend the arc at least 6 more episodes

12th episode is the SSR vs SSGSS fight and I believe the U6 arc was 13 episodes long. Definitely seems to be nearing the end.Nekis13 wrote:I'm not really liking the way this is looking (and I like most things Super does, kinda)... Long arcs are a thing of the past. Was really hoping this would be a 24 episode arc.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I doubt the arc is ending so soon. Would Mr.Toriyama really take months to write this? There's also suspect a filler episode in-between(Gohan episode). I don't buy it.
There's also too much of a cooldown for this supposed final fight to have enough impact, after all this waiting around and investigation. What I expect is they build Black as an actual threat. He's SSJ3 level, that's not material for a final confrontation.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Yea they are just going to the future. Zamasu does not seem to be a part of the plot until #57, so I doubt the arc is ending soon. We still have a lot to know how black ended up being black, how he went to trunks timeline etc. Also whats up with goku's body.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
If I had my way it would be...
Goku, Vegeta and Turnks go to the future
Fight Black
Black powers up, over powers Goku
Vegeta and Trunks tag team him
Zamazu appears at Capsuel Corp in the present
Has bullshit power up
Decides to start his exstermination of humanity while waiting for Goku to return
Trunks gets Goten and they fuse
Zamazu fights Gotenks and actually struggles
But fusion runs out and allows him to take out the two (KILL THE KIDS!)
Shit happens.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Don't see how taking months to work on the story means it's going to be long. Super generally has 13 or so episodes each main arc. SSR will be revealed and this itense battle begins around the 12th episode all evidence is pointing to this being a short arc like the others. Plus we still have one more exposition episode to go so we'll likely find out for sure if the arcs nearing it's end or not in a few weeks.LightBing wrote:I doubt the arc is ending so soon. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
They'd be okay if they actually did more than making you strong enough to be plot relevant. Like if SSG or Red and SSGSS or Blue had unique properties like speed, power, elements, abilities, etc. then it would make more sense. The problem DB has had for a while now is Akira doesn't know how to make it more interesting besides just tacking on more strength to these characters in the form of new transformations. That's why people get left in the dust so bad now and when they do, they aren't used properly anymore.Kagari wrote:Yeah I agree. I don't really find these multi-color transformations very exciting. I guess I could deal with white but we're not getting that.kinisking wrote:Honestly, I wish everyone just stayed in their base forms. I always thought everyone besides for trunks and maybe vegeta looked better that way anyways.
Big fan of the characters of Dragon Ball, all of them, especially formerly prominent sub-characters. -__-

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I don't think Akira really delves at all into battles or abilities. He just writes a rough draft and then Toei or Toyble take it from there. Hence why the anime has stuff like SSJB + Kaioken, whereas the manga has the return of SSJG.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I am just glad that goku is going first. Unless they all are fighting black together, goku is going to lose or something else is going to happen.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I find that unlikely, there's still a lot of unanswered questions and there has to be a fight with Zamasu of some kind. That whole mess has to be solved.Nekis13 wrote:I'm not really liking the way this is looking (and I like most things Super does, kinda)...
