I'm not talking about contradiction. I'm saying he'd be a much more interesting character if he was more of a tragic figure but they just made yet another power-hungry monster with virtually no appeal or a real personality. Also he has an annoying voice.ABED wrote:Contradiction doesn't mean you need inner conflict. Some people simply evade it. Baby is nothing like Cell. Cell wanted destruction and death. Baby wanted to conquer.
There's nothing wrong with Kaioshin's plan of letting Spopovich and Yamu steal Gohan's energy in and of it's itself. The problem is he still went with it even after sensing how powerful Gohan was (that ended up fueling almost half the tank) and didn't come in terms of the Saiyans being far more powerful than initial thought till his inevitable ass-beating.It's like you've don't watch many TV shows or movies. Kaioshin's plan is a trope in cop shows and thrillers where the good guys let the bad guys achieve a little goal in order to achieve a larger goal. Vegeta is the root of the problem. Had he not been there, there is a far greater likelihood that Kaioshin's plan would've worked.
You can say his plan failed because the Saiyans didn't act the way he expected (Vegeta shouldn't be the only one to blame) but the ONLY reason his plan even came close to succeeding in the first place is because the Saiyans were far stronger than he expected. If he was smart he'd be able to deduce the Saiyans were insanely powerful just by seeing Gohan become SSJ2 and not forget about it but it takes him to the last second to figure it out.
You also keep mentioning what Kaioshin did was small but it wasn't... GOHAN'S ENERGY FUELED ALMOST HALF THE ENERGY NEEDED TO REVIVE MAJIN BOO!!! AND GIVING THEM ENERGY IS WHAT THEY'RE TRYING TO PREVENT!!!
Besides, I'm only touching the surface on his stupidity.
Yes, it IS force. You're trying to make me think your way when what someone finds annoying is always relative. That's not force. Perhaps I come on a little strong, but that wasn't force.
Chichi contributes NOTHING to the story beyond being a mother and a spouse, so she's way more annoying.
Kaioshin and especially Pan are supposed to be significant characters to their respective story but they not only contribute very little to the matter they make matters worse. Pan is especially bad since Kaioshin at least was willing to take responsibility for his actions while Pan just did whatever she wanted and didn't care about the trouble she caused.
Anyways, that's a weird reason to find a character annoying above all... simply based on their role. If they serve to their limited roles then there's no problem... by that logic Yamcha and Chiaotzu are the most annoying characters in the series since they contribute the least out of all the recurring characters despite being major characters.
