"Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
With the Time Ring anomaly hardly being referenced, it makes me wonder if that first battle will be "skipped" and everyone heads straight to Goku Black.

I do remember that but I always thought it was because he had never used it while actually being alive since he learned how to become SSJ3 when he was dead. An he fought Buu at SSJ3 when he was dead. He might have even mentioned something similar to what I am saying but I could be wrong.LightBing wrote:SSJ3 drains energy at a high rate, we're told this by Goku in the Boo Arc and we see the flaw in the final fight. Just kidding, contrary to SSJ2, SSJ3 is flawed by design contrary to former which was never given a weakness.
I wouldn't be surprised if Toyotarõ uses a lot of time in this chapter to explain Black's ability, to give Rosé and Zamasu vs the Saiyans huge focus.
I doubt the manga will show any of Goku Black's training, if it even exists. It might go into detail regarding his ability's, that's what I want honestly.

Super Saiyan 2 seems to bring back all the weaknesses that Super Saiyan had before it was mastered.LightBing wrote:SSJ3 drains energy at a high rate, we're told this by Goku in the Boo Arc and we see the flaw in the final fight. Toyotaro's Black already has Goku's abilities, so that's totally plausible.Nejishiki wrote:With the Time Ring anomaly hardly being referenced, it makes me wonder if that first battle will be "skipped" and everyone heads straight to Goku Black.

I'm not sure how true that is. While 2 doesn't have many fights, the fact Goku and Vegeta can go at it for a while and beat the shit out of one another without putting a dent in Goku's available time on Earth definitely says it's not THAT costly. Him just transforming into 3 robbed him of almost all his time.DBZGTKOSDH wrote:Super Saiyan 2 seems to bring back all the weaknesses that Super Saiyan had before it was mastered.
If it does have weakness', it's most assuredly easier to bring it to a "mastered" state. 3 doesn't even seem attainable unless you're a fusion or dead.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I mean we never really got an explanation how he came to get 3 other than training but I am sure by now especially since he wanted to use it on Beerus when he first met him. This is really one that is tough and up in the air because there is a lot of IFs about how it works.ekrolo2 wrote:I'm not sure how true that is. Super Saiyan 2 appears to bring back the brutal nature that Super Saiyan gave before its mastery (it was also confirmed in an anime guidebook), and it also drains ki according to Toriyama, which is apparent in Goku's & Vegeta's fight where they get very tired after a short fight. It doesn't drain as much ki as SS3 or the Grade forms though.ekrolo2 wrote:I'm not sure how true that is. Super Saiyan 3 is special, it doesn't just drain ki, it rapidly drains every kind of energy the user has after a few minutes, like Fusion time or the time a dead person has in the Living World.

Which means it'll most likely be leaked tomorrow or Saturdayryou766 wrote:Interesting to hear. Thanks for the info.VegettoEX wrote:V-Jump is released on the 21st of each month, barring a Sunday or holiday, in which case it gets moved up slightly. The November 2016 issue will be out September 21.

Leaks are not part of the question, and shouldn't be part of the discussion. The content and official release dates are.

And hopefully the manga will be extended once again. If it covers just one episode yet again, that'd be disappointing.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Look at that sexy Goku Black, I'm anxiously waiting.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
Dang, chapter 16 already?

How about you calm down? I didn't say none of that so maybe you should follow your own advice.TheMikado wrote:I didn't start that conversation at all, get your facts straight. Nor did I say one was better than the other. Seriously what is your problem?????? I know Toriyama is God around here but all I said was there's a chance he didn't put as much time or work or practice into his manga especially when he admits to that himself! That's all. My entire point is that there's a chance that he didn't do his best work because he by his own admission doesn't seem to be very disciplined. AT NO POINT DID I SAY TORIYAMA WAS A WORSE ARTIST OR A BAD ARTIST. Serious what's your people's problem and obsession with Toriyama!?!?
Black going to the past is what makes them investigate Zamasu so that probably is part of Toriyama's plot.Nejishiki wrote:With the Time Ring anomaly hardly being referenced, it makes me wonder if that first battle will be "skipped" and everyone heads straight to Goku Black.

I tend to listen to tracks from the anime while reading the new chapters, makes the experience better for me.
