I liked how they took the chance to use vocals for the eyecatch. I assume they only showed one, because both were the same.

I didn't. It was my biggest gripe with the episode. I'm fine with them putting lyrics there, but not outside of the eyecatch itself - the song overlapped over Bulma's voice.

Is there any place to watch it online? I've been dying to see how Dragon Ball works out in languages other than English and Japanese.

Plot-wise, it seems fine. Some stuff I expected them to get wrong but didn't (although they messed up the vague timeline mentions in the first episode) but the translation itself improved. The rest is the same, if not worse for some characters. Watch it if you have the time or are curious, I guess.

Just saw the episode and I don't think see a problem with Kaio's voice.. I mean, sure it is totally different from his voice in Z but this Kaio's voice sounds awfully similar to the japanese one which is + from me, but probably not from who prefers the previous one.

Overall the translation was good, apart from minor dub things but I was absolutly disappointed with Vegeta. He is portrayed nothing like the character and the jokes, the unfinished sentences, the misplaced gibberish... nothing changed sinced GT Vegeta. He is suppose to be a serious character and what he says doesn't match Vegeta's body language at all he seems to one standing out the most in the show because of that.

It feels like the Portuguese VA tried to imitate the way the Japanese voice sounds as much as possible, not understanding that the reason the voice sounded so weak in Japanese was not by deliberate intent, but because of the actor being ill.

Here's an official (and free) streaming link of the first episode from SIC. Not sure if it is available in other countries other than Portugal.

And yes, I'm speechless. I never thought they'd have it available online. I wonder if they'll upload all episodes or just this one, because it's the premiere.

Well, time to practice my portuguese by watching the episodes until RoF comes (i pretty much think that if there's something that could affect the audience would be RoF, but well, that's just my stupid opinion as i hate that arc ).

The episodes will only be available for the week they air. That means the first two will be put down next week and replaced with 3 and 4, after they air.

It appears João Loy is being criticised and is not dealing with it.

Episode 3 aired just now and things keep improving.
The script is spot on, they are pronouncing Kaioshin correctly, the voices are getting better. There seemed to be less jokes this time around (Loy had only a few lines as Piccolo, that's probably why).

Krillin and Yamcha seem to be voiced by Romeu Vala. Quite nice voices (waaaay better than Loy 's Krillin).

The changes to the opening and Trunks' voice and all will only be felt by episodes 6 or 7.
