There's nothing especially original about the deity hierarchy that Toriyama has used and expanded upon here in Super (and Battle of Gods before it). He's just taking elements from all sorts of other religions and mythologies and cramming them together with his own original spin. And that's what makes it so much fun: that Toriyama spin on things. Pretty much anything viewed through a Toriyama lens is going to be interesting in some way. It may not be the best or most original idea, but it's always worth taking a look at and having fun with it.

The lack of "dogma" presence in DB is something i always adored, and the human (not ningen) position is realistically viewed as insignificant with a pinch of Zen/Buddhism background, although Utopic, so utopic that U7 Earth is so friendly, animals are part of the society.

And the fact that he changes the utopic part in the Universe 6 Earth, shows how he views humanity, U6 Earth story feels like our actual future.

It's also ethic rich, "pride" i.e is shown in many characters, and many times they bloom ahead just when they have to swallow it. Not to forget, nearly all villains are a product of greed.

If you want to be really technical, it's not even a religion; it's a cosmic hierarchy. Just throwing in the word "god" every now and then does not make something a religion. Religions require a belief structure, worship, and all that other stuff that Toriyama doesn't delve into at all.

This is exactly what I was thinking. It's almost a cosmic bureaucracy.
