Yes, this second dub just had those minor changes. As I said, the cast was intact. Sadly it's very hard to find this materialSaintEvolution wrote:I don't think there are two different dubs. When Globo broadcasted Z they did some editions in the audio and Lobue for what I know redubbed Piccolo's lines in the first 6 episodes for constancy. But it's a different case of for example, YuYu Hakusho or Saint Seiya, that actually have two different dubs for each series in brazilian portuguese.
My bad then. I said it using as base uploads from the official Portugal's Facebook fanpage. They used the original dub, but the FUNimation remaster. They never finished the uploads. I have huge interest in the portuguese dub, but never found in a decent quality (audio and video)Puto wrote:No, Portugal is still using the old masters, to the best of my knowledge.

For those who couldn't watch, here's something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS_4smnzwJI
This video contains material from Senpai TV (meh), Saint Seiya (bits from the opening, episode title and eyecatches) and, starting from 6:41, bits from DBZ brazilian opening, episode title and a rare material: EYECATCHES! In Brazil, only Cartoon Network aired the eyecatches, only in the first airing and only in early episodes, back in 1999. DBZ had the provisional name Dragão Z (literally Dragon Z, missing the "Ball"), using an instrumental Cha-La Head Cha-La as opening (just adding spoken "Dragão Z" title), changing later to the original series name. In the eyecatches, we could hear "Daqui a pouco voltamos com Dragão Z!" (In a moment we return with Dragon Z!) and "Continuamos com Dragão Z!" (We continue with Dragon Z!). This is some historical material!
As far I know, NEPs weren't dubbed until episode 61, so we hadn't our "Oi, eu sou Goku!" (Osu, ora Goku!) yesterday
Also, here's the full opening as seen in Rede Brasil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_78vSyWodU
Like the video above, there's also Senpai TV (only the DBZ part), but this video contains full opening, so I decided to put it here
And more historical material: for the first time EVER they aired the first version of the opening in Brazil! I couldn't be more happy!
Personally, I couldn't watch because I was playing Xenoverse 2 but, starting today, I'll watch every episode and I'll try keeping updating this topic as long I have some important information or trivia about this airing
