Yes, this second dub just had those minor changes. As I said, the cast was intact. Sadly it's very hard to find this material

My bad then. I said it using as base uploads from the official Portugal's Facebook fanpage. They used the original dub, but the FUNimation remaster. They never finished the uploads. I have huge interest in the portuguese dub, but never found in a decent quality (audio and video)
The Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/DBZPortugalOficial/

For those who couldn't watch, here's something: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hS_4smnzwJI
This video contains material from Senpai TV (meh), Saint Seiya (bits from the opening, episode title and eyecatches) and, starting from 6:41, bits from DBZ brazilian opening, episode title and a rare material: EYECATCHES! In Brazil, only Cartoon Network aired the eyecatches, only in the first airing and only in early episodes, back in 1999. DBZ had the provisional name Dragão Z (literally Dragon Z, missing the "Ball"), using an instrumental Cha-La Head Cha-La as opening (just adding spoken "Dragão Z" title), changing later to the original series name. In the eyecatches, we could hear "Daqui a pouco voltamos com Dragão Z!" (In a moment we return with Dragon Z!) and "Continuamos com Dragão Z!" (We continue with Dragon Z!). This is some historical material!
As far I know, NEPs weren't dubbed until episode 61, so we hadn't our "Oi, eu sou Goku!" (Osu, ora Goku!) yesterday

Also, here's the full opening as seen in Rede Brasil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_78vSyWodU
Like the video above, there's also Senpai TV (only the DBZ part), but this video contains full opening, so I decided to put it here
And more historical material: for the first time EVER they aired the first version of the opening in Brazil! I couldn't be more happy!

Personally, I couldn't watch because I was playing Xenoverse 2 but, starting today, I'll watch every episode and I'll try keeping updating this topic as long I have some important information or trivia about this airing

But so, it's not exactly an entire redubbed. Globo just edited somethings in their broadcast of the series, including the dub.

And I'm surprised that they lefted that "Daqui a pouco voltamos com Dragão Z" thing.

About the NEP's, I thought that in Funimation remasters they just cutted it, but I'm not totally sure.

Wait, the Portugal Portuguese dub is being synced to the Funi remaster? I know the European Portuguese dub is cut, but did it have NEPs? If not, the idea that they're syncing it to Funi's sources...as flawed as they are... might be a sign that they want to do an uncut release (even if it involves the "Japanese with subs whenever material has previously been cut" routine that France and Spain did with their releases. If it is said routine, what subs will they use as a base, or would they directly translate from Japanese? Would dub names be kept, or only for "forced" subtitles?)

Sorry guys, but one thing that'll definitely take some time grow on me, is the opening. I'm not a fan of the singing.

I don't know, I'm not really used to hearing two people singing the song. The effects and merging of their voices threw me off a bit. These are probably things that I'll get use to quick. I also thought that the singing was a tad weak at times. I don't know, I'll give it another listen after I get out of seventh period.

There is only one singer, not two.

Really? I guess the echo effect they put on his voice fooled me. Anyways, I just got out of school and listened to it again. I definitely like it more now than I remembered it yesterday.

Yeah, the echo and the mixing can easily fool someone hearing for the first time

I need to find it. I just watched the first episode, but they uploaded a few. If I find it again, I'll send it here. It's an official upload, so I think there's no problem sending it
I only remember there's no NEP and audio was a little unsync

Well, there's some news for you all, specially foreigners: RBTV official stream is down and there's no alternative stream. They take it down when Saint Seiya starts. I don't know if it's to catch some real audience or Toei's policy. At least, there's some videos on YouTube

Where are you watching? Me and some friends can't watch it. There's some people saying you need to open it really early or they'll block it

Then it's the same link I have here, and the same stream every site is redirecting to. I will try again tomorrow. I'll wait for some uploads to update here

Edit: After some retries, I could watch half the episode! "Dragão Z" is still here
A friend just enabled Firebug and said "it worked! Try it" and really worked, but another friend just opened the link and watched. Well, let's see if tomorrow we can watch again

The only difference is that in this episode, the "Dragão Z" was said by Daoiz Cabezudo (the Narrator) and not by Ronaldo Artnic (the guy who says the episode titles) like it was in episode 1.

For those who are having problems with the stream, try to open the stream 10 or 15 minutes before Saint Seiya starts, maybe that's why it´s working fine here.

Senpai TV today showed some clips from Dragon Ball (Goku vs. Tenshinhan in 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai and Goku killing Piccolo Daimaoh). I'm confused. There's no news about Rede Brasil having broadcast rights about Dragon Ball. Well, it's a new and small TV station, they even aired Saint Seiya years back then when they hadn't the rights, but stopped when denounced. That's somehow common in small channels

They also showed some clips of the Hades arc of Saint Seiya and they don't have this either, probably they just downloaded from the internet.

I really hope one day we'll be able to see the ratings...
