I don't actually have a PS4 yet, sadly. I've pre-ordered the PS4 Pro though (chiefly for the 1TB of space on it), and it should be here next Thursday.Lord Beerus wrote:Why the long wait?

Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
Finally got the game but only managed to play for two or so hours in the past two days. The combat system is much better than the first game. I managed to finish the Namek arc and man, that Freeza/Cooler fight was a bitch, especially since I didn't have time for grinding PQs or get a master, so all I had were the levels from doing the story and the starter supers/ultimates (wasn't able to import my character for some reason, might have deleted the save when I unistalled the first game). Can't complain though, since difficulty is welcomed in my book. First impressions are positive and Friday night I'm probably going to play the shit out of this game. Still haven't done anything but story, though, so there could be some bullshit stuff around, but I'll come back to it when I actually encounter such a thing.
Also, gotta give props to Dimps. The game is beautifuly optimized of PC. I can run the game smoothly even on high settings on my average gig, though I prefer the medium ones for the sake of not having any surprises. Even the loading times don't seem to take as long as I expected when I heared the complaints. Excellent job done in that department.

Watching TFS play this game is painful. The so called countering they complain about, appears to be the back punch attack used to counter teleport spam. So players have a chance to counter someone if they teleport behind, without wasting stamina. Instead it's BS for some reason. Yeah no shit it's apparently bad as ya look for exploits instead of just learning to play the game, or make a proper build. It's literally Game Grumps painful when they do the same shit. The CPU is doing pretty much everything a player can do.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

A simple way to avoid the back attack is to simply dash back or step vanish backwards the moment you vanish behind them. They often whiff the attack and leave themselves open. For a long time I was complaining about the same thing and admittedly it DOES get horribly frustrating when every time you vanish to avoid a combo they are ready and waiting to put you back in with the back attack.dbzfan7 wrote:Watching TFS play this game is painful. At least the "free teleport" thing is tricky to execute. I almost had my fingers hurt for doing it constantly in the tutorial.

That mission was biggest bullshit I've ever played. Fuck Coola and Freeza, I nearly snapped my controller in two. But TBF, I barely play games now besides Madden and the occasional NBA2k.dbzfan7 wrote:Watching TFS play this game is painful. Yeah, I love me some TFS, but that was frustrating to watch. The fight was difficult, yes, and the difficulty spike is a tad bit unfair. But they were taking it way overboard. Don't want to sound cliche, but this is the exact situation where the phrase 'Git Gud' comes to mind. First thing I learned i Xenoverse 2, you need to know how to back the fuck away.dbzfan7 wrote:Watching TFS play this game is painful. Yeah, and coupled with how incredibly intelligent the A.I are, it can be quite frustrating. But charging in all guns blazing at the computer, more half the time will result with you getting your ass kicked.Kanassa wrote:Yeah, I love me some TFS, but that was frustrating to watch. Re: "Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2" Official Discussion Thread
The thing is though, some of us do run in guns blazing so to speak in games. That's usually the way I operate in games too, the old 'the best defense is a good offense' thought process - you can imagine how quickly I had to learn to pull back on that instinct when playing the Metal Gear games.
If it's as bad as it sounds for that sometimes in this game though, I may have to temper that instinct again here too.
There's also the fact probably that a lot of it is being done for fun too. They're not doing a Let's Play to see how quickly they can get through the game, or to show the best possible builds in the game - they're making entertainment. Whether it's entertaining to you or not is an entirely different question of course, but it is what it is.

So I'm not too impressed with the gold form on Freeza race. It kinda pails compared to Potential Unleash as I imagined. Supposedly the form just boosts movement speed, changes your ki blasts, and boosts Ki skills by 30% compared to Potential Unleashed which is 15% to all attacks.
Also, it looks HORRIBLE on my Freeza race. Only outfit it managed to look even somewhat decent on was the Hero suit. The Z Fighting Suit however....

Oh god, it's like someone mis-texured Meta Cooler! So I had just unlocked Hit's Flash Fist Crush and at first I thought it was yet just another version of God Breaker but it's actually much better to the point of it being broken in my opinion.
So for those of you who don't know, Flash Fist Crush has the ability to block pretty much any move. That means basic attacks, super attacks & yes, ultimate's as well.
At first I didn't believe it so I took it to PvP to test it out. And yes, it does block ultimate's with ease. It can simply swat away a super Kamehameha like it's nothing.
Same goes for pretty much every other ult. I even had someone use Giant Storm on me and all I did was raise my hand punch the air and that protected me from a huge explosion erupting underneath my feet... How does that even work!?
It definitely needs to be nerfed.

It's really not. I had a hard time and won on my first try, but I back off when they keep back handing me. It's quite simple to do that. I'm not to great at defensive gameplay, so I end up taking lots of damage, which is really my own fault for not guarding enough or learning perfect guard. That's on me. There is bullshit in the game for sure, but this ain't it.Soppa Saia People wrote:That mission was biggest bullshit I've ever played. Fuck Coola and Freeza, I nearly snapped my controller in two. Isnt Vegetto's Pressure Sign even better since it works (or at least I think it does) on all of the above and also teleports you right behind the enemy for a counter attack? I've just translated parts of the new trailer for XENOVERSE 2 and it seems that Freezer's Army will invade Conton City in a temporal conflict. On this section of the story, you will be able to make decisions that can change the game's history. Also, it seems that this will be on an free update! Yeah!
