I took it that he didn't intend to crush it, but the reflex from eating the fruit. Look how his body convulses just seconds after taking the bite:

That framerate is absolutely horrendous, I can actually count the frames in that gif.

Anyway, Turles is still a fool. He should have gulped the whole thing down in one go.

Well the tree absorbs all of the energy from the planet, so I'd figure that the power in each fruit = The amount of energy in the planet and all of its lifeforms/the number of fruits.

Basically it's like eating a Genki Dama.

Well, in that case, he should've just took a knife, cut up the fruit and eat it with a fork.

More actually, the genki dama only takes a portion of all living things ki. Even when humans gave their all voluntarily it still didn't drain them enough to kill. The tree drains the whole lot bone dry.

It was the only GIF I could find of that scene. I welcome you to find a better one if you are so dissatisfied.

True. Apparently, he still does not eat them whole after this as we see cores on the floor when Goku has his final confrontation with him.

This proves that Turles is a moron who could have defeated Frieza if it weren't for his incompetence.

That's kind of what I was trying to say, although I didn't really express it as well as I could.

SSJ Goku did something like that in Movie 7. Goku = Turles confirmed?
