Could have been in one of the planets Beerus blew up.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

Honestly, I wish they had adapted that special as part of the build-up to the Resurrection 'F' arc. It could either have been before Goku and Vegeta left to train with Whis, or at a brief moment they were back, or something. Table shows up looking for his brother just like in the special, and is followed to Earth by Abo and Cado, who are noted to be among the strongest of Freeza's army remnants (perhaps alluding to there being two other notable ones as well, to allude to Tagoma and Shisami), and just like in the special, they end up defeated (though maybe change it up to Gotenks actually does manage to take them down, or something). Table could stick just to see what the Earth is like, and the defeat of Abo and Cado could be shown to further resolve Sorbet on the risky idea of wishing Freeza back to life. Table joins the rest of our heroes taking on Freeza soldier mooks so that we can see him fight at least the once, and then after the F arc is done, he goes back to his planet along with his wife.

I don't think it'd be easy (or necessary) to factor him in a whole lot else after that, though they could imply that part of what made Vegeta take a liking to Cabba was Cabba reminding him of his brother, or Vegeta thinking the Saiyan planet of Universe 6 sounds like a place his brother would like to see someday too.

Alternatively though, at an earlier point in the series where it looked like they weren't going to include Videl's pregnancy with Pan, I thought that they might actually make a wish with the Dragon Balls to bring Table there (after Shenron mentions there is another Saiyan out there, to appease Beerus), and Table confusedly aids in the Super Saiyan God ritual in Pan's place, while mentioning he has problems of his own. A short while after that, his wife could be the one that arrives on Earth after tracking Table down somehow or another, only to be followed there by Abo and Cado. Things then play out more or less the same way, though under this version I'm not sure if they'd need to really keep Table around for the 'F' stuff too, though they could.

Was Tarble ever mentioned in Super at all? I recall him being briefly talked about in the BoG film, but I can't remember if this line was also present in the anime.

It was definitely not mentioned in the anime.
The anime also didn't mention anything at all of the Original Super Saiyan God, which I personally hope will be expanded. On the other hand, Tarble doesn't have any point and shouldn't exist, so I'm glad Super didn't mention it.
As far as I'm concerned, that OVA is as canon as Episode of Bardock and Plan to Eradicate Super Saiyans.

Also, it looks like Cabba replaces Tarble (they are almost identical except for their eyes) so there would literally be no point in making Tarble canon as we have plenty of kind Saiyans in U6.

Well he isn't a fighter so other than just being a character that will provide dialogue I can't see it helping. Unless somehow they basically have him come to earth because his home planet is being invaded by someone or a group. Personally if they are going to do a filler arc after the current one. This is the correct way to go.

As a matter of fact, I actually wouldn't mind it too much if Dragon Ball Super ended up adapting a "Tarble arc" of some sort. Basically, just re-use the events of the 2008 JSAT special, and re-do it in a way that can fit with Super's timeline. As easy as that, right?

He would play the straight man to the Pilaf Gang shenanigans. I mean, there is no way in hell he is fighting given his nature. It's either that, or he will enrol in the university that Gohan is teaching and look to take up a career in scholaring.

The OVA sort of is canon because Toriyama wrote the idea of this specials plot.It might not be canon to you(I call it canon) but Tarble the character is canon

But Tarble came first. Cabba is the pointless character. Vegeta already had Tarble and Trunks to mentor. Why the hell does he need some other kid?

Having a fling with Bulma behind Veggie's back. Creating Bulla in the process.

They can do whatever they want. Just bring him already. Develop the character at once.

DRAGON BALL IS THE KING OF (Fighting) ANIME!!!!!!! In my opinion, at least...

My reaction to anything about Dragon Ball post-2013 that I don't like and/or is stupid. :P

Could have been a good Z fighter and provided additional help to Goku and Vegeta and Trunks, but no, he's just another useless character like everyone besides Goku/Vegeta/Trunks

Well, prior to Super he was no doubt "kind of" canon to the series, with Battle of Gods mentioning him in passing during the SSG ritual. But now uh...does he even exist?

I wouldn't mind a mention or two or even a cameo. I don't think he'd have a role outside of that due to the kind of threats our heroes are dealing with however.
