At this point, the kids channel would most likely have to be NICK (unless Cartoon Network has a change of heart) and the uncut channel would most likely be Adult Swim's TOONAMI (CARTOON NETWORK). Besides Nick being a crap channel, as long as Super airs alongside Nick's good cartoons and action shows before switching to its teen crap - I wouldn't mind (except for having to see commercials for the teen crap while I'm waiting to get back to Super)

And because I like repeating myself, Nick already airs Miraculous Ladybug (which has a Bandai America toyline and is a Toei Animation production - like Dragon Ball Super). So, Nick makes sense especially since Nicktoons used to air DBZ Kai so everything would come full circle this way. Lining up with my Kai 2010 announcement/airing comparison - My guess is Super will air February or March.

I just hope Nick doesn't treat it like Power Rangers where it comes on like once a week (I think they're also guilty of doing this with Miraculous). Hopefully, if it brings in ratings (and Nick remembers how well DB did for them on Nicktoons) - It gets to air new episodes twice a week on like Wednesdays-Thursdays (like Kai used to be). This way, kids can get their own little mini-Toonami while the older fans can watch it on the actual Toonami.

If Super ends up airing ONLY on Toonami, then I would strongly hope Adult Swim can find a way to push Toonami back to starting at 9 or 10 on Saturdays because no one feels like waiting until midnight. Also, when I was younger - I would watch Naruto at 9 so I can see younger fans staying up to watch it at this timeslot.

I don't think Super can air on both Nick and Toonami they are both normal cable. Nicktoons and 4kids are not both normal cable channels I hope I am wrong.

Nicktoons is not basic cable. Toonzai/Vortexx was a block on the CW, which is Network TV. Basic Cable usually comes with the Network TV channels. Not that that matters, as Toonzai/Vortexx doesnt exist anymore.

That's because Pokémon's English dub is fucking atrocious and what they did to Team Rocket is awful.

I doubt CN would give it more of a chance even if the dub was perfectly faithful and so on. But I do admit I like the way you think, kids do like quality better than most think!

Pokemon's English dub has been atrocious ever since TPCi took over 10 years ago. Super won't have that problem since FUNi cares about Dragon Ball now.

That's my point. It was fine during Battle Frontier, but after that it went to shit.

It seems alright to me. Granted I don't watch Pokémon much nowadays just couple of episodes here and there whenever I catch it. What is exactly wrong with it? Replacement scores? Inaccurate scripts? Acting seems fine to me.

TPCi made it so Team Rocket rhymes their dialogue, REMOVES music during scenes, delivery is flat, etc.

For all 4Kids's faults, at least they didn't butcher the Rockets and added some more humor.

Original Japanese > 4Kids ›››››››› TPCi.

Bad idea. I would say Satirday night and move shows like Pokemon and Sonic Boom to Saturday night for an action/anime block. (And CN somehow gets Yu-Gi-Oh from Nicktoons)
Well Saturday night is the Toonami block and what I meant as option #2.

I just refuse to watch Nick these days is all.

Instead of saying Judgement (Which was quite a few times since it's considered the God of Pokémon), the dub changed it to Justice.

So while they will definitely be called Gods in the uncut dub, I wouldn't be too sure if that will be the same for the edited dub.
Well, that's ridiculous, cuz His "name" (or rather, title, like "Muten Roshi") is Lord. "Lord, our god", in the bible, right? Also ridiculous becuz "God of Destruction" is already specifying that it's a different god than Lord. I can only hope it doesn't end up changed in the edited dub. I'm really tired of all the divides in the fandom. Let's just finally use the same gerontology and names, please, Funimation.

FUNi might unfortunately have no choice. But they use Destroyer in the uncut dub anyway so I think they can get away with it of "God of Destruction" if it isn't used as frequently.

But with Zamasu it's a different story since he uses the word god a lot.

DBS should just air on CN Thursdays. That seems to be their "big night" for their main shows, and let's not forget that dragobn Ball as a whole drew viewers of all amounts during the series' original run from 1997(1998?)-2005 (Counting Dragon Ball and DBGT, and reruns from 2006-2008.)

Those days are over, CN doesnt want to air anime or action shows. And have you actually seen their ratings lately. I was wrong, its not just Pokemon, EVERY show of theirs is struggling, even mega popular shows like Regular Show.

If Super ended up ever coming to a kids channel like Nick - I think Nick would be smart to take a page out of Cartoon Network's Toonami book and create an action block for all of their shows. And the only ones that they have to my knowledge currently are: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Power Rangers, and Miraculous.

So, maybe like when Kai was on Nicktoons - Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5-7pm: Nick can dedicate all of their action shows to an action block. I mean, Miraculous is really cheesy though - but it compares more to Sailor Moon than anything else that would be on this block. And besides, why air TMNT on Sunday mornings when you can air it alongside Dragon Ball Super?

Or they can do an action week sort of thing where Mon-Thursdays at 5pm: Each action show I mentioned has its own day to take the 5pm timeslot. And perhaps on Fridays, from 5pm-7pm: All the new or most recent episodes that played throughout the week are rerun. Just a thought.

If they end up deciding to cut out all the god talk from the edited dub, maybe they'll use "guardians" or something (kind of like Kami being referred to as the Guardian of Earth). Or perhaps they'll use Supreme Kai as much as they can when Zamasu is making all his godly rants. And when he merges with himself, he shall dub his new form the "Supremest Kai" :P

Though there are ways to work around some of the godly stuff, things like Super Saiyan God would have to be outright renamed if they want to avoid it. I'd like to think that modern day kids' TV wouldn't have to make too many drastic changes, but then I think of recent examples like all the dumb edits made to Doraemon just a couple years ago, and realize we can't make that assumption. I hope they decide to allow all the god stuff to stay in, but I have a feeling they may choose to cut it...

I thought the EXACT same thing. Guardian for God. And Immortal or All Mighty to really differentiate them from the "Mortals" which is also a theme that is present in super.

They may leave the title "God of Destruction" untranslated, as Hakaishin.

As for Super Saiyan God, Maybe they'll translate it as Super Saiyan Red. That keeps the syllable count intact for lip flapping, and is consistent with Super Saiyan Blue

YES!! Doc Morgan is the narrator! But Kyle Hebert wasn't bad in BoG. If only Doc could voice Kaio...
