Like whatever happened to that whole, "This is for all the innocent people you killed," thing you said to Frieza, Goku? Now when Beerus does it you're not even a little bothered as long as he spares Earth? Geez.
Am I the only one bothered by how friendly everyone is with Beerus now?

I mean balance in the universe, blah blah blah, yada yada yada, but still! This is a dude who commits genocide on anyone who doesn't bribe him well enough with food. There HAVE been a few hints at Beerus maybe still not being able to be trusted, but overall everyone seems pretty damn friendly with him now.

It's his job. What do you want them to do? If they don't comply they'll be killed. They're no saints themselves & they don't act as such. There are already a couple of mass murderers in the cast anyways.TekTheNinja wrote:I mean balance in the universe, blah blah blah, yada yada yada, but still! I bet that one day Zeno will force Beerus to do his job on earth or lose his job, that way we can have a full fight with Beerus while at the same time keeping him a deity instead of a villain. Anyone on earth is fair game to fight, I think that would make the ultimate final arc for DBS.
Re: Am I the only one bothered by how friendly everyone is with Beerus now?
Beerus and Whis were assholes when they were first introduced, but you can say the same for a lot of Z-fighters. They've also scaled back on the "planet destroying" thing too.

So what? Seems out of character for some of them to be okay with it. How's he any different from Frieza?Cursemark505 wrote: It's his job.

Well obviously they aren't strong enough to fight him yet, but I feel like everyone seems to have forgotten that he's a damn genocidal god of destruction.

What do you mean? The Z fighters are good people. They don't go around blowing up planets.
Reformed mass murderers, yes. Piccolo and Vegeta are a far cry from what they used to be, and Buu just didn't understand the concept of morality, but realized what he was doing was bad when Mr. Satan told him it was. Beerus on the other hand hasn't changed much from when he first appeared. There are already a couple of mass murderers in the cast anyways.

Well, beerus is a god. And you give him offerings to keep him happy.
When he was introduced in Super he only blew up half a planet because their offering was "too greasy"
He calls earth a gourmet planet so I doubt he's going to destroy it anytime soon.

He turned Zamasu to dust so there's not much they could do even if they wanted to.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Beerus is the next Vegeta, Piccolo, Androids, Buu, etc.
He's slowly becoming their friend and less and less arrogant/violent/disregard for life.

It's not like Goku and the rest of the group actually care about good, unless it's being oppressed right in front of them. Goku didn't defeat Freeza and went: "let's defeat the rest of his army, for justice and peace!". No, he just didn't care.
The cast is mainly composed by selfish people, who at various times have put the lives of innocent people on the line just to have a good fight.
Besides it's a possibility that Beerus never destroyed anything, after the BoG arc. I base this on Zeno-chan's warning at the tournament, where he said Beerus and Champa weren't doing their jobs.
It's likely Beerus likes the Earth and it's people(food) and doesn't want to create unnecessary conflicts.

Plus the fact Beerus can decide whatever planet he wants to destroy. As Gowasu said, killing mortals is the God of Destruction's job and he is the only one who can decide which humans need to be killed.LightBing wrote:It's not like Goku and the rest of the group actually care about good, unless it's being oppressed right in front of them. Well it was sorta thanks to him and Whis that Earth was saved after Frieza blew it up and killed all their friends and family.

I'm still annoyed they're fine with Vegeta, never mind Beerus.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

That BoG extended scene where they all clap for him must have killed you thenekrolo2 wrote:I'm still annoyed they're fine with Vegeta, never mind Beerus.

Its really odd how they're okay with him screwing them over so many times along with his massive body count from his planet killing days. I'm not saying they should hate him but the fact they're so okay with everything he's done bugs me.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:That BoG extended scene where they all clap for him must have killed you thenekrolo2 wrote:I'm still annoyed they're fine with Vegeta, never mind Beerus.

That scene always make me laugh since they treat Vegeta's mass-murdering past like he had a drug addition and he's now clean. Every time they think Vegeta maybe evil again, it's treated like, 'he fell off the wagon'.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:That BoG extended scene where they all clap for him must have killed you thenekrolo2 wrote:I'm still annoyed they're fine with Vegeta, never mind Beerus.
Most of this is culture clash. I remember reading that in Japan they are extremely forgiving of one's crimes if you repent or feel real shame. Which is why so many villains tend to reform in anime/manga.

When Goku mentioned Vegeta wanting to destroy Earth back during the Champa Saga, Vegeta got irritated for Goku bringing up the past. That is the closest I can remember to Vegeta being sorry about that part of his life. Similar to Piccolo being upset when Krillin mentioned how he was once the Demon King back in the Buu Saga.ekrolo2 wrote:Oh wow, I never made the comparison but that's crazy accurateHeroR wrote:That scene always make me laugh since they treat Vegeta's mass-murdering past like he had a drug addition and he's now clean. I know he apologizes for Gohan "dying" when Fat Boo attacks him but I don't recall anything else.

Beerus is not like Frieza. His destruction is necessary to maintain balance in the universe. Z fighters know this. Is his job.
