Should the Supreme Kai and Kibito have stayed Kibito Kai?
I've never liked the Supreme Kai's regular appearance, and the design post-fusion just seems considerably less pathetic when stood next to Beerus or the othee gods. Who still has attachment for the Supreme Kai after Kibito Kai saved Goku and Vegeta from Kid Buu's destruction of Earth? Was the defusing all just so that Kibito could be the Supreme Kai's Whis?

Perhaps they just grew weary of being merged into a single entity all of the time. They prefer their individuality over power or stature.

I think the split was unnecessary. The only reason I could think for it was to show that defusing via the Dragonballs was possible, yet that hasn't been brought up again.
Cool stuff that I upload here because Youtube will copyright claim it: https://vimeo.com/user60967147

I prefer their unfused designs so I liked the change, but I would have preferred if they showed when they defuse like i the manga. Kaioshin does seem shorter in Super for some reason (like Krillin) but I don't see how he looks pathetic next to Beerus or other gods.

Fusing in the first place essentially killed Kibito.
Over a joke.
De-fusing was the right thing to do.

Let's be honest. Who the hell cares about Kibito?Razorsaw wrote:Fusing in the first place essentially killed Kibito.

I'm baffled by the defusion.

Kibito's my favorite character, I'm glad he's back.mr.fredsolo wrote:Let's be honest. Who the hell cares about Kibito?Razorsaw wrote:Fusing in the first place essentially killed Kibito.

You can think he's boring, but that doesn't change the fact that leaving a guy unwillingly stuck to someone else is wrong.
Re: Should the Supreme Kai and Kibito have stayed Kibito Kai?
Kibito was always a non-character. He's instantly killed by Dabura and then after that he does next to nothing besides fusing with Supreme Kai.
About the only personality Kibito had was when he was having nervous breakdowns over Gohan and Goku "standing on the sacred land of the Kai's."

Yes, he should because I liked his design better. Besides one less supremely incompetent overseer is always better.

Haven't we already gotten these in GT? Goku dies, the DBs go away, and the Namekian DBs most likely won't be used again because of the Evil Dragons.

I always side eye the people who say "Now my kids/today's kids can experience what I did as a child!" Nigga, who gives a fuck about your childhood? You're an adult now and it was at least 15 years ago. Let the kids have their own experience instead of picking at a corpse.

To be fair he's been mildly amusing in the Super manga. I liked that he tried to get involved with the taking down of Dabura in Trunks' timeline too.precita wrote:Kibito was always a non-character. Wouldn't have mattered either way. Their role in the plot would have remained very limited.

Yeah, being Kibito Kai, he could have given more power to Future Trunk's spirit bomb.
Besides, at least being Kibito Kai won't make him so much weaker than before. By my estimates, Kibito Kai should be significantly weaker than 25th WMAT SSJ2 Gohan. But at least he's a low-tier SSJ2 now instead of back then where he shits his pants at the sight of Yakon

To reiterate, no he shouldn't have. I'm glad my favorite character Kibito is back, wish he got more screentime, though.
