A lot of the characters looked great. In fact, Id say it was probably the characters at their visual best. Besides for Gohan and Goku. I made a bet with Alee9977 that Vegeta won't be beaten quickly by an opponent. If I lose, I switch my avatar to Vegeta getting beat by hit. If I win, he switches it to Vegeta holding Black by his hair. This will last a month.

Gohan definitely peaked with Piccolo clothes. His Saiyaman without the helmet looked pretty good. But I did dig the track suit. I actually prefer Goku undershirtless so the "F" clothes plus the awesome boots was an instant win. The only thing I dislike about Vegeta's is it looks like his undershirt is pajamaskinisking wrote:A lot of the characters looked great.
I've been around the inter webs and I have come across several rumors of Gohan getting back into battle in the next arc can anyone confirm this? The fact that nothing on this thread has been posted probably shows that it really is a rumor but I'd like to make sure.
My favorites would have to be:FreddleFrooby wrote:So, speaking of character designs, which are the best designs?
Personally, I love Hit's look. Mysterious and badass. Magetta's also great. I'm fond of Copy-Vegeta's drippy texture.
Goku's ROF outfit (Though, I'd like it to have a more golden undertone to it. To help differentiate it more from his usual orange gi)
Vegeta's ROF armor
Future Trunks (black tank-top looked pretty badass, you can't deny that)
Future Mai looked pretty (and adorable)
Hit
Cabba
Magetta
Bulma's "End-of-Namek"/Garlic Jr. filler arc look. (I take it I'm the only one here who likes Bulma with long hair, huh?)
Goku Black
Merged Zamasu
Gohan (Cell Games)
Gohan (Goku's gi)
Videl (Pigtails and BoG, though the short cut design and clothes she had used for the remainder of Majin Buu arc was pretty cute too)
Chi-Chi (pre-Majin Buu)
Goten (EoZ)
Trunks (hoodie)
Tight (As she appeared in Jaco the Galactic Patrolman with her long hair. Honestly, I can't say I'm very fond of her having such a short haircut like her little sister Bulma. It just...doesn't look right to me...)

I mean, we're not even sure if the Hit thing on December 18th is going to be the beginning of a new arc or just a filler-like mini-arc (or even one-off). I suspect that some people are trying to use Future Trunks' importance in the Zamasu arc as evidence that they're going to bring more people into the story to not have "The Goku & Vegeta Show", and that that's why they're saying Gohan will return now, because he should be the next pick in that situation.

If it were substantiated, we would be talking about it and/or someone reliable would have covered it. That's a rule of thumb for ever single rumor, spoiler, leak, etc. Come on, it's been over a year. This should be common sense by now.THEGOKU wrote:I've been around the inter webs and I have come across several rumors of Gohan getting back into battle in the next arc can anyone confirm this? I guess if it slips you, just remember: If you really need to ask, the answer is probably "no".

It's hopes and dreams. Trust me, if that was confirmed everyone would be talking about it.

Poor Gohan. I don't care much for the character, but I can understand why his fanbase would be so frustrated with his lack of real direction. This is what happen when you have a man who specialises in writing by the seat of his pants be the creative source of plot points of an anime. But that just makes it all the more entertaining, because you can literally see how much the mood of the fanbase can radically swing from end to another at any given week.ekrolo2 wrote:Never ever and then someLord Beerus wrote:So.... never?ekrolo2 wrote: Gohan's gonna become relevant when Japan finally grasps the concept of pacing.

This is one area Toei could rectify things for his fans, there's no way they don't see the merchandise potential of having him do stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if all the Saiyan's and maybe Piccolo suddenly got bigger roles once Toriyama fucks off from writing the plots of Super.Lord Beerus wrote:Poor Gohan. Forget Gohan just bring back Piccolo my boy was mistreated in universe 6 arc.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Guys guys guys. Gohan is coming back for sure. He will be the next one to get a super big power up. I can prove it. For you see Goku was the first to show of SSJ God, which was basically Kaio-Ken and couldn't last long. Goku was then the first to show off Super Saiyan Blue, followed by Vegeta. Trunks then showed off the next weird form thing...which means Gohan has to be next. If we follow the trio logic of Z, that means Gohan has to be next of course. Illuminati confirmed.ekrolo2 wrote:This is one area Toei could rectify things for his fans, there's no way they don't see the merchandise potential of having him do stuff. But uh...Trunks was the one who showed the new form before Vegeta in Z....so perhaps there is a pattern break.......fuck it...It'll be Pan who goes Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Rainbow.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I'm so happy I didn't learn that Zamasu shares voice actors with Kojiro/James of Team Rocket until today because I know I would've been thinking about all the goofy shenanigans Team Rocket has gotten into the whole time otherwise.
On hiatus.

That explains everything. They've been treating Gohan with so much mediocrity because that was all part of the plan put everyone in a false sense of security before he quickly rises up the rank and became the Mystic Super Saiyan Godly Blue Super Saiyan Ultimate that rules all and has both the Zeno's his bitches.dbzfan7 wrote:Illuminati confirmed.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Personally, I'm completely fine with how Gohan is treated. We saw him growing up through the years into a powerful warrior, and he reached his peak by the end of Boo arc by becoming the strongest non-fused mortal warrior in the universe. But even in the original manga, he always had the potential, but his only motivation to fight was to protect his family & friends. He didn't like fighting, but the situations forced him to. Now the man is living his dream, he has his dream-job, he has his own family, and there is peace to the world. There are still conflicts, but they are small. The Beerus & Freeza conflicts lasted an afternoon, and the Zamasu conflict lasted a few days, in a parallel world. And the future conflicts will most likely continue like this. What's more, Goku & Vegeta have become far stronger than Gohan, and can become even more immensely stronger by becoming Vegetto, and SSB Vegetto will always be stronger than even a fully-trained SSB Gohan so there is no reason for Gohan to train to begin with. Even though Gohan grew weaker, he doesn't care that much because he isn't a fighter at heart.
Gohan had lots of cool moments, he reached his peak as a fighter, he is now is living his dream-life, and he isn't needed to fight (outside of fan-service). He grew weaker, but his dream wasn't to be a strong fighter, but to live the life that he is living now, which is what made him weaker. As a Gohan fan, I'm perfectly cool with this.
But I do feel a little sad for Piccolo, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, and Yamcha. These guys were true martial artists & had Goku as their goal to surpass, but they all ate his dust & half of them were forced to retirement... At least Kuririn has #18 & Marron.

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.
Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.

Well said. This is exactly how I feel. There's no need for Gohan to train anymore, especially for those people who complain about "fanservice". If they said Gohan should be relevant once more, they'd be contradicting their own stance on "fanservice".DBZGTKOSDH wrote:*snip*

They just need to get the focus away from Goku and Vegeta for a while. Future Trunks is gone now too, so who else to focus on?
